Jeetu Moni Kalita came on the show with 16 contestants in total. They got eliminated and in the end there were just 4 left. The 4 were Vaishnavi Patil who is from Pune and is talented, then there is Atul Banmoria from Chandigarh and then there is Manoj Rathod who from Mumbai had come all the way here. This finale was judged by Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor, who also took it as an opportunity to promote their film Aisha. The mentors of the children too gave good performance. Apart from the judges some other choreographers were also present who gave a lot of encouragement to the children. These were Remo D'souza, Terence Lewis and Geeta Kapoor. This year the festival, Raksha Bandhan, falls on 24 of August. The bonding day is celebrated on a full moon day in the month of Shraavana(Shravan Poornima). The festival hold importance in all parts of India and especially in the northern part including Gujarat, Orissa, Haryana and Punjab. On this day. the sister ties a holy thread, Rakhi, around her brother’s wrist. In return, the brother bestows gifts upon her and promises to look after her all her life and protect her from all evils. The sister offers sweets her brother. This has been a tradition for years now, and hopefully it will continue to be so in future also. One can also tie a Rakhi around somebody’s wrist who is not the girl’s brother as that would make him her brother nominally. Indian history has been a witness to this tradition. Draupadi, the wife of five Pandavas, tied a torn piece of cloth from her sari, around Krishna’s finger to stop it from bleeding. Draupadi was never Krishna’s real sister. Rani Karnavati, of Chittor also sent Rakhi to Mughal ruler, Humayun. This greatly helped to defeat a great war. |

 Dabangg Bigg Boss’s new anchor, Salman Khan, will be releasing his latest movie "Dabangg" around Eid. The actor has kept a moustache in the movie and says that he was inspired by politician ‘Shatrughan Sinha’s’ style. He says “I wanted to look like my onscreen character Chulbul Pandey and not like Salman Khan. I am wearing the moustache because the role demanded one. It is a thin moustache, similar to the one Shatruji keeps.” Salman Khan is playing a corrupt policeman in ‘Dabangg’. The actor is now 44 years old but has constantly delivered hits one after another. The actor Suriya has been preparing for some nerve cracking stunts which are suppose to be presented in front of a large audience. Those who were invited for the formal occasion were Movie Moghul Ramanaidu, Sun Pictures CEO Hansraj Saxena, director Shankar, Megastar Chiranjeevi, Mohan Babu and some others. The prominent member of the music launch in both the events, the Malaysian and Hyderabad, was Rajinikanth. He has always been the star of every South Indian movie moment. Among the female guest list, beauties like Kajol and Kamna Jethmalani had also attended the music launch. Lyricists Bhuvanachandra, Uddala Ashok Teja and Vanamali expressed their gratitude to wards the director, Shankar, and music director, A.R. Rahman, for letting them be a part of the wonderful movie "Endhiran : The Robot". The former also spoke upon the significance of the mega budget movie. | Vivek oberoi sued by Mehta Entertainment Posted: 07 Aug 2010 12:48 AM PDT  Vivek Oberoi Its Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi yet again but this time it's not about his engagement or his Fiancée Priyanka Alva but the certain accusations about a Delhi high court notice regarding a recovery suit. Wonder when will the sun shine brightly on Vivek Oberoi's life. Every time this young man is right in the focus for all the wrong reasons. And this time it's his firm Yashi Multimedia Private Limited which is located in Delhi and has been sued by a Mumbai based firm by the name of Mehta Entertainment for a recovery suit. The shocking incident came to light when a Judge of the Delhi high court bench justice S. Ravindra Bhat issued a notice against Vivek including his sister Meghna Oberoi and his father Suresh Oberoi who were charged by the Mehta Entertainment for a hefty amount Rs.4.86 crore for the suit. The company accused vivek of taking the amount of 1 lakh as advance for which he was scheduled to perform in a stage show in US and Canada in the year 2003 but the actor could keep his side of the bargain and said that he could not perform because of his illness. WASHINGTON : The United States of America has increased its application fees for the H-1B and L1 visas. This fact has been biting the Indian Information technologies to its core. On Friday, 6 August, 2010 the United Sates Senate announced the reasons for the increase in H-1B and L1 visas. The US Senate allowed the increment in the application fees for visas in order to fund a 600 an expensive million dollar package for improving upon the Mexican border security system. The IT professionals who are mainly the ones who need the H-1B and L1 visas. The top IT companies depend upon this category of visas to work in the United States. The increment in the visa fees per application is of $2,000. This is done to those companies who have less than 50% employees working as American citizens. Senator Charles Schumer & Senator Claire McCaskill approved the order of increasing the application fees for the H-1B and L1 visas together. This legislation was brought into the senate by democrats “I prefer our source, which is from these companies which are not; as I say they are companies whose whole purpose is to bring people in on H-1B and the vast majority of them from other countries who go back to the other countries. That is a better funding source,” Schumer said. |

 Leh cloudburst Heavy rains following Leh cloud burst have made the relief and rescue work even more hindered in response to the calamity that wreaked mass havoc and disaster over the entire region. 400 people are injured and over 112 people have been found dead with the death toll only predicted to rise further. In Siachen amongst 500 soldiers 20 are still missing. All routes and communication systems are blocked. Even though the air port is functioning but no flights have got the chance to land due to the heavy rainfall. Flights carrying relief goods along with relief force personnel's and doctors were sent back because of the bad weather condition. The chief minister Omar Abdulla stated his grief seeing the extent of disaster the flash flood had caused. A 24 hour helpline has also been setup to provide information about the Leh flood calamity and the numbers being 09906990835 and 09906990787. The bursting of cloud in a region causes sudden heavy rainfall that gives way to land slides and flooding. Similar incidents have happened in the past at places like Kumaon with a record of 250 deaths, in the Mandi and Suketi valley at Himachal Padesh causing 103 deaths. |

 Aisha Aisha, the flick starring Sonam Kapoor and Abhay Deol which actually is a modernized adaptation of Jane Austen's Emma got released this week at the box office encumbering a mixed bag of response from the critics. Well the reviews don't really matter so much for some but they do predict a lot based on the opening of the film. So was the case with Aisha which got favorable reviews from some critics while some of the others were not much taken over by what the film had to offer. Critics put up their thoughts saying that the movie has a very slow sequence of events in the first half which can actually leave the audience lacking patience to keep up with it. Certain portions are so slow that they can be terrible to sit through for the viewers. Makers of the movie claimed that this movie is based more on the lighter side of life but critics complained that the movie missed out on passion.
