As per reports, Emraan Hashmi has made it clear that he is uncomfortable with certain intimate scenes being included in his upcoming film 'Crook-It’s Good To Be Bad'. He has even reportedly asked director Mahesh Bhatt to edit the scenes before the release. Emraan, known as the serial kisser appears to be in a mood of an image makeover post the success of his latest flick Once Upon a Time in Mumbai. No other reason can be found behind his new reluctance for accepting steamy scenes in his movie since the actor has remained more famous for his intimate scenes than acting skills. After Once Upon a Time in Mumbai, Emraan seems to be keen on showcasing his acting talent to the audience and filmmakers. The movie 'Crook' reportedly contains certain very bold scenes between Emraan and Shella Allen. However, uncle director Mahesh Bhatt has made it clear that those clippings won't be removed since they form man important part of the script. The film is set for release on the 8th of October. |

Apart from this the glam show was a mix of wonderful light work and rocking music scores. The very first Lakme fashion show by Manish Arora completely took the ramp by storm with dashes of fashion and style. Manish who is linked to the Philips life style brand also introduced an all new range of hair styling products through the show. The show that had a contemporary twist was inspired by artistic décor era. Manish himself informed media that the show was based on the 2050 art period and also said that 1920's and 1930's were a time when the women began wearing loose clothing's instead of the tight body hugging dresses. Therefore the show had that futuristic element from the people and fashion habits of that era. He also added that the show was also an effort to launch the Philips range of hair care products and hence he has put in special emphasis towards the hair do and headgears of the models. The show began with laser lightning that cut across the room and then came in the models wearing glares fitted with laser lights, the music was that from the band Pink Floyd. The models wore loud and glamorously glittery make up to add to the vibrancy. Concluding the day one, Manish did add a lot of spark to the first day. The trio connection between the movie 3 idiots and the soon to release Khichdi and Golmaal 3 is very peculiar. A look at the posters will highlight that everything is placed Ulta that is facing away from the viewers. The cast is featured backwards that is facing the opposite side and not up side down in the literal sense. The poster of the super mega hit 3 idiots has the casting actors Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi and Madhavan sitting on their special spot with their back to the viewers. The Khichdi poster was released with the same kind of funny element outside the King Khan's mansion called Mannat on the 27th of August wherein the characters of the Khichdi family face a mirror standing with their backs visible to the onlookers. But sources revealed that the character of Chulbul Pandey was first offered to actor Randeep Hooda who had discussed all the prospects with Abhinav Kashyap the director of the film. In fact Randeep who refuses to comment about this issue was seriously looking forward for this role and had charted out the complete sequence for the way he was going to take up the role as he had already played the part of a cop before in his flick Risk. Then the question arises is that what happened to the entire decision made. Insider sources informed that the film was initially in the hands of UTV production, but when it slipped to Arbaaz Khan Production house instead things changed immediately. Even the script took a radical change and turned from grim and hard hitting action based thriller to a lighter and more comical version instead of the criminal kind. Randeep on the other hand has been good at rejecting the roles that were offered to him in the past. | Dabangg’s item song Munni gets a notice from Zandu balm manufacturers Posted: 18 Sep 2010 03:02 AM PDT  Dabangg The Zandu Balm line in the Malaika Arora featuring item song of Dabangg has indeed grabbed a lot of attention from fans but the manufacturers of the ointment that is popular for its pain relieving properties have become enraged by the inclusion of there product name into this song. The Zandu Ayurvedic product manufacturers have planned to sue the Arbaaz Khan Production limited and have already lodged a notice dated 17th September. The song has lines like Main Zandu balm hui, darling tere liye that have been criticized by the product manufacturers claiming that the sole copyright to the product and also its name. The manufacturers have asked the makers to either delete the name or withdraw the song because of the reference made. If the producers refuse to undertake any such steps then the manufacturers have threatened to sue the producers under criminal offence. Ashok M Saraogi the counsel member of Zandu Ayurvedic products sent a notice to Arbaaz Khan and also to Malaika Arora Khan his wife as Munni in the film and also to the Ashtavinayak Cinemas Ltd and also to Abhinav Kashyap the director of Dabangg pointing out the fact that the manufacturer of health and medicinal products are engrossed in various forms of marketing options and this not just includes their range of ayurvedic products but also the very famous pain reliever Zandu balm which is very common amongst people who use it to heal pain and other related physical ailments. The formal notice that was sent out includes the specification of the usage of the term Zandu balm at various instances in the song violating the copyright laws and also defaming the reputation of the company by such usage. |

The movie stars Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. The movie will be based on the book 'Do And Die’ by Manini Chatterjee. It touches upon the serious issue of 1930's Chittagong uprising. Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey, a period thriller, has already been caught up in a discussion with PVR about the length of the movie. There has been news that Director Gowariker has been asked to keep the length of the movie limited to only two and a half hours. The budget of the movie is also being cut by 10 crore to 35 crore. The renegotiation is definitely not keeping the Director happy. PVR, the producers are said to be behind the shorter duration of the film. Then, the controversy goes that another source feels that it is Gowariker's own decision and he is not influenced by anyone else. They say it is his 'creative call'. Another reason behind cutting the film short could be the audience preferences. India's viewers now only have limited attention span, and they like it that way. Usually, Ashutosh is known for longer films like Swades, Jodha Akbar and Lagaan. However, the length of the movie will only be a second criterion. The expectations from the film are high, as it brings back history and the landmark day when India's freedom struggle took birth. The recent ban on outsourcing in Ohio is only the tip of the iceberg. Before further shocks, India's foreign secretary Nirupama Rao raised India's worries over the outsourcing controversy. Additionally, she also pointed out to the hike in H-1B visa fee, a result of the Obama administration policies. The outsourcing discussion was furthered in Nirupama Rao's recent visit to Washington, to meet with senior politicians there. The aim was to lay out the agenda for Obama's India visit in Novemeber. She also met Hilary Clinton, the US secretary of State to discuss the same and convey India's concerns. She feels that this protectionist sentiment in American policy making is a threat to India. One can't help but ponder over Ohio Governor Ted Strickland's outsourcing ban in august this year. Ensuing this, was the visa fee hike for companies such as major outsourcing clients of Indian origin. For India's IT sector, the impact of this outsourcing controversy can lead to a loss of as high as $200 million every year. US ambassador to India, Timothy Roemer, has assured India that this ban will not hamper India-US business ties. However, the signs point otherwise. Commerce minister Anand Sharma will be meeting the US Trade Representative on September 21. This move might leads to more clarity as outsourcing related issues will be a major talk point between Sharma and Ron Kirk. The outsourcing boom in India has been a major cause of India shining.  Pope Benedict Pope Benedict XVI visited London during his papal trip. On Friday, his second day there, five street cleaners of London were arrested. The reason of this arrest by the British police was the accusation against them that they had been threatening the Pope. This step has been received well by the Catholics. Yet, there is anger built up again over the issue of the sex scandal involving clerks. There is great demand for justice. The Pope, in spite of these developments, did not feel the need to change his schedule. He remains calm and is proceeding with the visit, as planned initially. At the same time, police have made many revelations about those arrested. The detained men are between the ages of 26 and 50. They are detained as per the applying act The Terrorism Act, in the region of central London. The London police are leaving no stone unturned in questioning these men. Police has also searched their business and other properties. So far, in the primary search, nothing hazardous has been recovered. In the Pope threat matter, the council of Westminster has suspicions that these arrested men might've been posing as street cleaners on behalf of another party or contractor. The potential threats against the Pope called on for this quick action on the part of the Police, early on Friday. Their nationality or ethnicity has not yet been brought to picture. Even the details of the threat are not known yet. However, high profile events have in the past, also, attracted such arrests. Preventive measures can definitely go a long way. | Movie Review: Beautiful Boy by Shawn Ku- A Sneak Peek into the feature Posted: 18 Sep 2010 01:17 AM PDT  Beautiful Boy Shawn Ku directed Beautiful Boy is that film with narrates the extent to which an individual can gobble up some one else's misery until it becomes unendurable. With actors like Maria Bello, Michael Sheen, Alan Tudyk, Moon Bloodgood, Austin Nichols, Kyle Gallner, Meat Loaf and Cody Wai-Ho Lee the movie basically deals with the incomprehensible guilt that the parents undergo after their teenage son goes around killing his college people and in the end kills himself. The performance by the two lead actors will definitely generate good reviews from the audience's side. The darkest shot of this film comes through during the introductory scene when the parents first get a glimpse into the tragedy that has stuck them through the television news followed by the police officials knocking over their door in search of information. The shock that comes through followed with wide eyed denials makes the whole situation even worse and by the end the parents have nothing left to say. It is through this exposition that the director paves way for further revelations and unveiling of the entire situation. The beginning itself brings forth the strains that Kate and Bill's marriage is undertaking. But the sudden disaster draws the two even more apart. They both take separate refuge but when they later encounter each other at a motel room they open towards each other and also end in greater dismay and fury. Some parts of the movie may seem repetitive as the couple cry, fight and dodge their associates many a times in the movie. |
| Pune film festival organized by the FTII for international film students Posted: 18 Sep 2010 12:23 AM PDT  FTII Due to globalization, transgressing boundaries and smudging the borders of different nations from different parts of the world has led to the organization of international students’ film festival to held at Pune which is one of its kind where 28 renowned film schools from various countries will come together on a single location at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) for the forthcoming festival. This festival has been organized by FTII where film students will showcase their passion and hard work to make wonderful film from the 24 of this month till the 28th. The film festival will begin at the main theater of the famous Indian institute at 6 pm on the 24 which will be inaugurated and graced by the noted and world renowned Indian filmmaker Govind Nihalani which will then be followed by famous critical films like The Solitary Sandpiper, Deccan Queen, Jugni and Turbulence which are diploma films and have been made by students of Film and Television Institute of India. The director of this accredited institute was talking to the reporters at a press conference named Pankaj Raj who reported that this is the first time that such a grand event is being organized at FTII for the film students to mingle and share their views and perspectives which will in turn broaden their spectrum and enhance their creativity. | Posted: 17 Sep 2010 11:19 PM PDT  Earthquake India There was a strong earthquake which was felt by the people of Afghanistan in the northern region, close to the Hindu Kush mountain range on the late evening on Friday and these reports were confirmed by the seismologist too who added that there was no loss of life due to this sudden tremor of the earth in this region. Apart from this, there were also reports of tremor and shaking from neighboring countries of Pakistan and the surrounding areas. The magnitude of the earthquake was recorded to be 6.3 on the Richter's scale which was measured at 11.51 P.M according to the local clocks. And the epicenter of the earthquake was located at 75 kilometers in the southeast direction from a district called Fayzabad which comes under the Badakhshan Province which is in the northern part of the country of Afghanistan. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) also studied the nature of the earthquake and reported that it was 124 miles in the ground or 199 kilometers deep which meant that it was actually a deep earthquake. Different regions including different parts of Tajikistan, northern India and Pakistan also felt tremor which ranged from minor to moderate shaking but there was no damage or loss to life and property reported from any of the regions. |
