CSK vs KXIP – Punjab defeated Chennai in Super Over

Today in Indian Premier League 16th match, Kings XI Punjab defeated Chennai Super Kings in IPL -3 first super Over. This match winner was decided after both tied at equal runs by a Super Over.


Kings XI Punjab gave a target of 137 runs for Chennai Super Kings. It was looking easily achievable until Skipper Raina got runout in the game. this wicket was the game changer for Punjab XI and with good bowling attack, they managed a tie with CSK.

CSk tail enders succumbed to Punjab bowlers and they got out one after the another. AT the last over, Ashwin was at batting crease and required run was 1 out of 2 deliveries. First he missed once and second he got caught by Mohammed Kaif.

This followed, IPL 3 first Super over elimination round. This was the super over rule- Each team will pick three batsmen, and get to face six balls, from the nominated bowler. They can lose two wickets at the most, and the team that scores more takes all.

From CSK, those selected were Morkel, Hayden and Raina while from Punjab it was Yuvraj, Irfan and Mahela. CSK lost both wickets in only 5 balls giving a target of 10 runs which Punjab easily achieved.

Kochi Ipl and Pune IPL teams set for 2011 – owned by Sahara and Rendezvous Sports

Kochi IPL team and Pune IPL team are ready to rock in Indian Premier league version of 2011. IPL 4 will see these two new cricket teams next year.


Kochi Teams was owned by Rendezvous Sports while Pune Ipl team bid was won by businessman Subrata Roy of Sahara India. Lalit Mosdi told that only five bidders were there to bid, but the process was very difficult.

Next year there will be a total of 10 teams than previous 8 teams and a total of 94 matches will be played in IPL 2011.

Reportedly, Sahara Group purchased the Pune IPL team for whooping Rs 1702 crores, while Rendezvous Sports bought the Kochi team for Rs 1533 crores.

Modi told that, he is not sure whether he will add any more teams in Indian Premier league 2011.

The cheapest rate per person per day is a whopping US$ 800 ( Rs 40k approx) for a Deluxe cabin. The next two category are US$ 900 and US$ 1,400. And the Presidential Suite comes for US$ 2,500 almost Rs 1.2 lakhs.

Amul Music Ka Maha Muqabla results – grand finale winner is Shankar Mahadevan

Shankar mahadevan and his rockstar team won Amul Music ka maha muqabla yesterday night.

The show was organized at BPCL ground in Chembur in Mumbai where both Shaan and Shankar mahadevan were fighting at the grand finale ti prove their supremacy.


The runner's up team ( shaan team) received a cash price of 25 lakhss and on the winner – the team of Shankar' Mahadevan Rockstars won Bumper amount of 50 lacs along with a trophy and the award was given by Padambhushan winner Ustad amjad ali khan.

The results is out and the winners of Amul Music ka Maha Muqabla is Shankar’s team which had Rahul Vaidya, Sharib Sabri, Sanjeev Kumar and Neetii Muhan and Shaan’s team had Harshit Saxena, Anweshaa Dutta Gupta, Debojit Saha and Shadab Farid.
