The competition was started smoothly and now the dancing pairs are fighting with each other. Kate Gosselin and Tony Dovolani pair is the famous couple among the participants. Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package Released for UK

It was a moment of thrill and excitement for the Modern Warfare  fans as the MW2 stimulus package was released today in UK. The stimulus package is of 329 MB and has five maps. Though it is not being functional due to some issues.

Before this Modern Warfare  stimulus package was released, a 'stimulus' playlist update had already been introduced for everyone. This resulted in a thousand of gamers hogging the lobbies and resulting in the prevention of the match from starting. This ruined the game for those who had worked hard to earn  1200 MS points.

Today Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) declared that Levi Bellfield, who has been notified as prime suspect in murder case of 13 year teenager Milly Dowler, need to be charged for kidnapping & murdering Milly Dowler. Pennsylvania ranks seventh on ‘Race to the Top’ funding

Pennsylvania is among the topper's but not the topper as stated by the department yesterday .

States Delaware and Tennessee were chosen for the first round of  grant competition for $4.35 billion. They stood out , out of a pool of 16 finalists.

Pennsylvania was behind Georgia, Florida, Illinois and South Carolina at the seventh place out of 41 contenders.

In a conference call with reporters "Secretary of Education  Ame Duncan said  that many strong  proposals  were received by them from states all across America. Everyone who applied is helping for the cause.

$100 million and $500 will be received by Delaware and Tennessee respectively as part of the federal stimulus package for bringing about an array of  reforms.

Up to $400 could be received by Pennsylvania, Which is nearly half  of what 120 school districts and 59 charter schools that signed on the state's  application would have received.  This news disappointed local school officials.

"That's  too bad commented George Batterson, who is superintendent of the New Kensington-Amold School District, which would otherwise have received up to $6,00,000 helping them accomplish many goals.

Duncan  says that Still $3.4 billion will be distributed among 10 winners in the second  round of competition for which revised applications are due on June 1..Commonwealth would participate in this round according  to state officials.

Cynthia Chelen, superintendent of  the Monesseri City School is still hoping for $ 600,000, saying that it's not over yet and maybe we'll be lucky and get it.

Bill Isler, second vice president of the Pittsburgh Public Schools board expressed his confidence about Pennsylvaria's chances. He further added  said  that Pennsyulvania's have a strong planning and are very keen to make education the top priority

There were pledges in the original application to save failing schools, working for betterment of  teachers training, make educator's  performance even tougher and find uses of  test scores to improve instruction

Only one-fourth of the total districts signed on. Federal Education Department released the score sheets showing that they did not sink Pennsylvania's application.  Poor   teacher effectiveness  is the category where the state lost maximum number of  points

Linda Hippert, who is executive director of  the Allegheny Intermediate Unit, serving suburban districts also feels that Pennsylvania will do better in the second round.  She expressed that the little time available will help more schools to sign on  and  refine the application.

Even after losing Pennaylvania participation would prove worthwhile,  Onama administration earlier this year initiated for a new version of  No Child Left Behind  law that would make every state to follow they same reforms.

It would certainly help in alerting school districts before hand  said Lucklle Abellonio superintendent of  the Clairton City School District.

Additional funding  would have been welcome with the mandate said  Derrly Superintendent Roberta McCahan..
