Applications are invited for the recruitment for the post of 'Vidyut Sahayak' (junior assistant) by the Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited (DGVCL) in Surat. Interested candidates can apply for the post online at the official website.

Once again Japan was hit by a massive earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 on Thursday. The earthquake struck the same place where a huge earthquake had led to a devastating tsunami in the month of March.
However, till now there were no reports of any damage or injuries. A tsunami warning has been issued by the Japan Meteorological Agency for the region that was hit with the quake, which was cancelled an hour later. In March 2011, an earthquake with a magnitude of 9.0 had hit the Pacific region, which had led to a deadly tsunami. The disaster had claimed at least 23,000 lives, while thousands of houses, offices, factories and business firms were destroyed. According to the Japan Meteorological department, the centre of the earthquake was 30 miles off the shore of Iwate in northern Japan at 6:51 am. Due to the disaster in March, most of the coastal are is still yet to recover. Japan is vulnerable to earthquakes as it is located on the 'Ring Of Fire', which is an arc of volcanoes. |

The Government of Madhya Pradesh will soon be declaring the results of the MP PET or the Madhya Pradesh Pre Engineering Test. The results for the year 2011 are expected to be announced in the upcoming week.
The MP PET examination was conducted by the government of MP on 22nd May 2011. The candidates who had appeared for the examination can access their results from the official website of the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board. The students can access their results from the official website here, after the results have been declared. The MP PET is conducted by the board every year to offer the students admissions in to the course Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in the various technical institutions across the state of Madhya Pradesh. At present, there are 159 technical institutes in the state, who offer admissions in the B.E course through the MP PET. 90 percent of the seats of the government and the government aided colleges are reserved for the Madhya Pradesh candidates. Five percent are reserved for the other state students, while the remaining 5 percent are reserved for the NRI candidates. |
