Great Sex Tips: Husky tone is the answer to seduction Posted: 22 May 2010 11:46 AM PDT London, May 23 (IANS) Husky voices are the majority appealing & the key to victorious seduction, scientists have discovered. Both men and women subconsciously lower the pitch of their voice when they want to signal that they are attracted to another person, a study has shown, reports express.co.uk. Researchers from Albright college in Pennsylvannia tested 48 male and female students, asking them to look at a picture and then leave a voicemail message for that person. The more attractive the person in the photo, the lower was the tone of voice used in the answerphone message by both men and women. “When a woman lowers her voice, it may be perceived as her attempt to sound more seductive or attractive and therefore serves as a signal of her romantic interest,” a researcher Susan Hughes was quoted as saying.
Air India Plane Crash: What Happened, Read Whole Episode from Start to end of 158 lives Posted: 22 May 2010 11:42 AM PDT Mangalore (Karnataka), India (IANS) 158 passengers were died when a fully filled Air India Express air plane from Dubai crashed on 22nd May 2010 while landing at Mangalore’s “table top” airport, that blasted into parts & falling into a deep bushes in balls of blazes. Only 8 travelers are alive and this was one of Nation’s most awful air disasters till date. Though it had been raining for two days, there was clear visibility with no wind when the Boeing 737-800 with 160 passengers, including 19 children and four infants, as well as six crew members overshot the runway at 6.05 a.m., authorities and witnesses said. There was no distress call from pilot Z. Glusica, a British national of Serbian origin who had flown in and out of Mangalore at least 19 times and received due landing clearance four miles from touchdown at the hilltop airport at Bajpe, about 20 km from here and 350 km from Bangalore. The Bajpe airport, which is surrounded by forested deep ravines, is considered one of the most difficult airports to land and take off because it lacks adequate spillover area. Indian Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel said after visiting the crash site that the IX812 ploughed through a wall of sandbags and veered off course. As it did so, one of its wings crashed into the concrete landing aid, broke up and plunged about 200-300 metres into the gorge. Stitching together the events by talking to four of the seven survivors, most of whom were seated in the middle of the plane, Patel told reporters that the Boeing did not immediately catch fire but did so subsequently. Most passengers died instantly. Patel in the evening briefed Prime Minister Manmohan Singh about the crash and owned up responsibility. By late night, the bodies of 158 people, most of them charred beyond recognition and some with seat belts still strapped on, were recovered. A court of inquiry is to be set up and Boeing has said it will assist the investigation. The aircraft, the civil aviation ministry said, touched down the 2.45 km Runway 24 “slightly beyond the touch down zone, overshot the runway and went in the valley beyond the runway”. All passengers were Indians, many returning home from Dubai where they worked. An estimated 50 were from Kerala, whose northern border almost touches Mangalore. Among those who survived was Keralite Krishnan, who had a miraculous escape when he jumped through a gap in the broken aircraft just before it turned into a ball of fire. “I saw the plane catch fire and heard the shrieks of my co-passengers inside,” said Krishnan, recalling how the aircraft shook as it lost one of its tyres after the landing. He said he removed the seat belt and sprang out through the gap. “I felt I was in a forest. Four others also jumped out and ran with me,” he said, narrating his horror story from his hospital bed. Air India Express is the low cost arm of Air India. The Airports Authority of India said the plane was in good shape. Addressing sceptics, Minister Patel said the length of the runway had been increased from 6,000 ft to 8,000 ft to factor in bigger aircraft. “(But) because spillway area was limited, it went into a cliff.” Villagers were amongst the first to reach the site but leaping flames kept them away. Rescue personnel came across ghastly scenes of mangled bodies strewn over a large area. As firemen doused the fires, others took out bodies from the wreckage — each body had to be taken up the cliff. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh cancelled a dinner to celebrate the first anniversary of his government’s second tenure and condoled the loss of lives. Two Dubai residents, a man and a woman, had a providential escape. While Kunhikannan Chandu could not get on to the flight because his boss piled on extra work, Theresiamma Philip was confused about the time and missed the flight. They couldn’t believe their luck. But many others like Manirekha Poonja, who worked for the Gulf News in Dubai, her husband and their 17-year-old daughter, who were to take part in a wedding in Mangalore, were not so fortunate. This is the 11th major air accident involving Indian carriers or in the country’s air space since 1962, and the first since July 17, 2000 when an Alliance Air flight crashed at the Patna airport killing 60 people. The “3 Word” singer has admitted that she admired the pop sensation and even gave herself a horrendous hairstyle in a bid to look more like her idol, reports femalefirst.co.uk. “I was obsessed with Beyonce. It took eight hours and it looked horrendous,” she said. “She’s just a star. She’s just got it. She’s everything a woman should be and everything you should want to be as a woman. But I did not know that at the time,” she added. Cole, 26, was so taken up by the singer that she even copied the eccentric outfits Beyonce wore with her girl band Destiny’s Child. “It was cool. I always wanted that urban, baggy jeans look. I’d cut things up and experiment, it always went dreadfully wrong. And then you hit a point where you think I won’t do that again. I can’t wear that again,” Cole concluded.
Cameron Diaz not in next version of Charlie’s Angels Posted: 22 May 2010 07:17 AM PDT London, (IANS) Hollywood artist Cameron Diaz has excluded a return to the “Charlie’s Angels” franchise, claiming Diaz would not be talented to fit into her character’s firm clothes. Movie Review: Nooru Janmaku [Kannada] 2010 Posted: 22 May 2010 06:53 AM PDT Movie: “Nooru Janmaku”; Producer: Vinay Lad; Writer and Director: Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar; Cinemetographer; Santhosh Kumar Pathaje; Music: Mano Murthy; Cast: Santhosh, Aindrita Ray, Adarsh, Sharan, Bhavya, Bank Janardhan. Rating: 2/5 Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar, a well-known writer and columnist, is a director who raises the expectation level of audiences whenever he makes films. Naturally, when Nagathihalli announced he will be directing a film which centres around the issue of global recession, there were huge expectations. But unfortunately the director has let his fans down. Many things have gone horribly wrong in this film, including the selection of actors. Nagathihalli has written the script with some superficial ideas on the subject without going deep into the background and efects of recession. Nagathihalli has concentrated more on creating grandeur, but the soul is missing in the film. Some uninspiring and unwanted sequences makes the film drag at times. The director has tried to cover up the shortcomings in his screenplay by presenting the film as a dazzling spectacle with the Star cruise of Macau and the fantastic Hong Kong outdoors as the backdrop. But these things do not make a good film and the weak screenplay and ordinary performances by the actors make the film exasperating to watch at most times. Yet, there are some sequences where the vintage Nagathihalli is seen. The climax is really well done. Nagathihalli also shines in a few sequences which show how a victim of job loss is tormented. The story revolves around Santhosh, who is the head of a private firm. He hires Aindrita and she performs quite well and brings in good profits for the firm. Santhosh, who initially doubted Aindrita’s calibre, also falls in love with her, but she surprises him by introducing him to her fiance. After the recession, Santhosh again meets Aindrita in Hong Kong and Macau. The plus point in the film is Aindrita’s performance, which really stands out. Santhosh fairs alright. The music by Mano Murthy is average. Santhosh Kumar Pathaaje’s camera work is fantastic. “Nooru Janmaku” could have been a better film if Nagathihalli had done better work on his script. In the end, it is a dull film in comparison to Nagathihalli’s earlier efforts.

Jeev, who had a 72 in the first with a total of one-under 139, is tied 44th, an improvement of 56 places from his overnight 100th place. Meanwhile, Arjun Atwal slipped with a poor finish to tied 59th from overnight 25th after returning a one-over 71 in the second round. Atwal a stroke adrift at a total of 140. Shiv Shankar Prasad Chowrasia tied 13th; Kapur, Jyoti miss cut Posted: 22 May 2010 05:32 AM PDT Wentworth (Britain), May 21 (IANS) India’s Chowrasia added a 2nd round 73 to his 1st round 67 at the BMW PGA Championship golf to keep himself in line for his 1st top-ten since his maiden win on the European Tour 2 years ago. Chowrasia, with a total of two-under 140, was tied 13th and four behind leader Luke Donald of England, who had rounds of 68 and 68 on the first two days. India’s other two challengers made an early exit. Shiv Kapur improved on his first round 79 by 11 shots when he shot 68, but the gap was far too much and he missed the cut at five-over 147 in tied 91st. Jyoti Randhawa with 74 and 74 was tied 100th also missed the cut, which came at one-over 143. Chowrasia, who had five birdies and one bogey on the first day, had no birdies on the second. His two bogeys came on the ninth and 11th for the 73. Kapur had five birdies and two bogeys in a fine round, but it came a bit too late. Jyoti had two birdies, three bogeys and one double bogey in his 74. A second successive 68 enabled Donald take over at the top from fellow Englishman Danny Willett. By steering clear of trouble on the much harder West Course the 32- year-old has so far had only one bogey in 36 holes – and his five on the 12th would have been a par a year ago. Without a win in Europe for six years, this is the first of a three-week break from the US PGA Tour to try to boost his prospects of regaining his Ryder Cup spot after wrist surgery kept him out last time. With tournament debutant Willett adding a one over 72 to his opening 65, Donald leads by one from not only the 22 year old from Sheffield, but also last year’s runner-up Ross Fisher (70) and South African James Kingston (69).

Main Accused arrested for Andhra girl’s murder after escape Posted: 22 May 2010 04:59 AM PDT Hyderabad (IANS), 22nd May 2010: After a few hours he runaway from police custody, the main accused in 2007 rape and murder of a teenager girl in Vijayawada town was detained in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh on Saturday. Police said P. Satyam Babu, who gave police the slip while he was being transported back to Vijayawada from a hospital here, was arrested in Jaggaiahpet town of Krishna district. Babu escaped at Suryapet in Nalgonda district after midnight Friday when the policemen escorting him got down at a hotel for food. Police were taking the 22-year-old to Vijayawada after treatment at a hospital. A police officer in Jaggaiahpet took Babu into custody when he was begging for money from locals. Earlier, Vijayawada Police Commissioner P.S.R. Anjaneyulu suspended 11 policemen, including a sub-inspector, two head constables and eight constables, who were escorting the accused – on charges of negligence. However, there were hardly any takers for the police version. Relatives of the accused and rights activists alleged that the police were trying to eliminate him in a staged shootout to shield the real culprits in the case. They pointed out that Babu can’t even walk as he suffered from a neurological disorder. The doctors at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) confirmed that he could hardly walk. Police claimed that Babu raped and murdered 19-year-old pharmacy student Ayesha Miran at a hostel in Vijayawada on the night of Dec 27, 2007. Her body with stab injuries was found in the bathroom. A letter dropped by the ‘murderer’ stated that the girl was raped and murdered for refusing his request for ‘love’. Babu was arrested in August 2008. Police earlier arrested two people but released them after the State Human Rights Commission intervened on petitions filed by their relatives. Ayesha’s parents also rejected the police claim that Babu murdered her and alleged that police were trying to save some politically influential people. Earlier this month, Babu’s mother P. Mariyamma tried to launch a hunger strike in Hyderabad, alleging the police was implicating him in a false case and torturing him. It was on her petition that the high court last month ordered the police to make arrangements for his treatment in Hyderabad.
