Cung Le Shock The StrikeForce Knocking Out Scott Smith

In tonight's rematch, Lee had a chance to get even with Scott "Hands of Steel" Smith and he sure did.

Conditioning was a huge difference in this fight. Le entered the first Smith fight with an abbreviated training camp. He was away from the sport for almost 21 months making movies in the U.S. and China. Once his projects fell through, he decided to take the first fight that came his way. It was clear he wasn't in premium shape as he faded down the stretch and was knocked out on a "Hail Mary" punch from Smith with less than two minutes left in the fight. This time he wasn't going to make the same error.

Cung Le (born May 25, 1972 in Saigon, South Vietnam) is a Vietnamese American kickboxer, mixed martial artist, and actor from San Jose, California currently competing in Strikeforce. He defeated Frank Shamrock to become the second Strikeforce Middleweight Champion before vacating the title to further pursue his acting career.

Smith has Le against the cage and separates to throw. Le lands a big right and drops Smith with a couple of short knees.

Cung's lack of clean punches has always stood out to me. Last night was just another example of that. He seemed to be looking to hurt Scott with kicks. This is was a good strategy as he was winning the fight but a true elite striker would be able to mix punches with those kicks.

Frank Shamrock Has Announce His Retirement From Fighting‎

"My time has come," Shamrock told the crowd at the H-P Pavilion in San Jose. "The stars like Gilbert Melendez and Cristiane Cyborg. They are the future and I am the past. Tonight I announce my retirement and I say this will be the last time I walk into this cage as a fighter."

Frank Shamrock (born Frank Alisio Juarez III on December 8, 1972) is a retired American mixed martial arts fighter. Shamrock was the first to hold the UFC Middleweight Championship (later renamed the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship) and retired as the four-time defending undefeated champion. Shamrock has also won numerous titles in other mixed martial arts organizations, including the interim King of Pancrase title, the WEC Light Heavyweight Championship, and the Strikeforce Middleweight championship.

I went down to Ken's gym and checked it out and it looked really exciting. I gave it a shot and they just kicked the crap out of me. It was terrible! I couldn't walk and I crawled up the stairs after the first day and realized that was a mistake. The next day when I woke up my legs were so beat up and bruised that I couldn't get down the stairs.

Perhaps the strongest feature of this chart is the Yod aspect between Pluto in Aquarius, Neptune in Aries and the apex of Jupiter conjunct the South Node in Virgo. Pluto's Sabian reads 'A train entering a tunnel' – shortcuts, getting to the point quickly and entering the dark.

The event , which was visible to many in western stretches of North America and parts of the Asia-Pacific region, began at 3:17 a.m. PDT (1017 GMT) and ended about three hours later.

A lunar eclipse occurs when the moon passes behind the earth such that the earth blocks the sun's rays from striking the moon. Allman Brothers slide guitar and lead guitar

"I feel pretty good, considering everything that's happened," says ALLMAN, who co-founded the Allman Brothers Band in 1969. "Everybody involved here, my doctors and nurses in the hospital and all the Allman Brothers fans, they've just all been great." The surgery took place this morning (June 23) after ALLMAN was notified that an appropriate liver had been donated. "All I can really say is 'thanks,'" the singer says with gratitude.

The Allman Brothers Band is an American rock band once based in Macon, Georgia. The band was formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1969 by brothers Duane Allman (slide guitar and lead guitar) and Gregg Allman (vocals, organ, songwriting), who were supported by Dickey Betts (lead guitar, vocals, songwriting), Berry Oakley (bass guitar), Butch Trucks (drums), and Jai Johanny "Jaimoe" Johanson (drums). While the band has been called the principal architects of Southern rock, they also incorporate elements of blues, jazz, and country music, and their live shows have jam band-style improvisation and instrumental songs.

The Allmans spot in the lineup will be filled by the Derek Trucks Band with Susan Tedeschi, according to promoters Jam Productions.

Tropical Storm Alex Is Heading Toward Yucatan Peninsula‎

The tropical storm is on track to reach the peninsula by late Saturday. It is about 140 miles east of Belize City and about 165 miles east-southeast of the Mexican city Chetumal. It was moving toward the west-northwest at about 9 mph.


Despite the encouraging news, BP stock tumbled 6 percent in New York on Friday to a 14-year low on news that BP has now spent $2.35 billion dealing with the disaster. BP has lost more than $100 billion in market value since its deep-water drilling platform blew up, and its stock is worth less than half the $60 or so it was selling for on the day of the explosion.

The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30 and meteorologists predict this year will be a very active one. Hurricanes feed on warm water and the sea surface temperatures in the tropical Atlantic are higher than usual this year.

Four out of five computer models point the storm toward the Lesser Antilles island chain. If the storm system follows that track it would be near the islands in about a week or so. It is really too early to tell exactly where it will go and whether it will even develop into a tropical storm before it reaches the islands. Some forecasters are predicting that the system will become Tropical Storm Alex some time on Today.

Cheney, 69, has a history of heart-related medical problems. In February, he suffered a "mild" heart attack after experiencing chest pain, his office said. At the time, he underwent a stress test and a heart catherterization.

Cheney blaming the attacks on the ant may have had something to do with the fact that the ant bit George H.W. Bush during his administration, and he failed to successfully squash it. Whatever the reason, Cheney proclaimed that the ant was in possession of 400,000 nuclear warheads, along with a superweapon capable of destroying an entire continent. As evidence, he pointed out the presence of a very suspicious looking empty water bottle next to the ant hill that "most definitely contains nuclear weapons." Cheney asked Congress for a declaration of war, and the war in Iraq began.

White House during the Nixon and Ford administrations, where he served the latter as White House Chief of Staff. In 1978, Cheney was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from Wyoming; he was reelected five times, eventually becoming House Minority Whip. Cheney was selected to be the Secretary of Defense during the presidency of George H. W. Bush, holding the position for the majority of Bush's term. During this time, Cheney oversaw the 1991 Operation Desert Storm, among other actions.

Dick Cheney Hospitalized After Heart Attack

Cheney, 69, has a history of heart-related medical problems. In February, he suffered a "mild" heart attack after experiencing chest pain, his office said. At the time, he underwent a stress test and a heart catherterization.

Cheney has had several heart attacks in his lifetime, but it was not disclosed whether this hospital stay was related to his heart, the AP reported.

Richard Bruce "Dick" Cheney (born January 30, 1941) served as the 46th Vice President of the United States from 2001 to 2009 under George W. Bush. He briefly served as Acting President of the United States on two occasions during which Bush underwent medical procedures.

The news agency says Cheney was feeling ill earlier in the day, so he visited his doctors at the university and was subsequently advised to check in to the hospital.

It was not immediately clear whether Cheney's health concern was related to his previous heart troubles. He sustained his last heart attack, deemed a mild one, in February.

Cheney was last admitted to the George Washington Hospital on Feb. 22 after experiencing chest pains. His doctors later said it was a heart attack his fifth. He was released on Feb 24.

They both come across to me as just props. We were sort of throw head first into this fund-raising event for cancer research, but the stage really was not set. Why would the Tragers want to attend this event -- They didn't seem to want to go to events like this last year.

16 Wishes follows Abby Jensen (Ryan), a teenager who can't wait to grow up, and when she is handed the chance to make all her wishes come true, quickly learns the importance of being careful what you wish for.

Edwin Jackson Top Defence But No Response

He went higher than 110 pitches 12 times, including a 132-pitch outing while pitching eight innings in a victory over Texas last May 21 and showed no hangover from that outing. He made his next three starts on normal rest and went 2-1 with a 1.16 ERA, averaging 7 2/3 innings per outing. If there's a pitcher who can seamlessly bounce back from such an arduous performance, Jackson may well be that guy. Last year he averaged 105 pitches per start, which ranked 15th in the majors.

Edwin Jackson (born September 9, 1983, in Neu-Ulm, Bavaria, West Germany) is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks.

"It was a weird game. There were a lot of walks, and it was just a weird game," said first baseman Adam LaRoche, who caught the throw from shortstop Stephen Drew for the last out of the game. "Not a ton of tough plays. 'Effectively wild' would apply. It was awesome."

Steve Mcnair Death Anniversary Attended By Vince Young

One year after McNair was shot and killed on July 4, 2009, Young plans to spend the holiday in Mississippi with McNair's mother.

"I'm gonna go out to Mama Mac's house,'' Young was quoted in the Tennessean. "I'm gonna go out there and spend the weekend with Mama Mac in Mississippi."

Cops ruled McNair's death a homicide and have not ruled on Kazemi's death, citing the need for more tests.

Stephen LaTreal McNair (February 14, 1973 – July 4, 2009) was an American football quarterback who spent the majority of his NFL career with the Tennessee Titans. McNair played college football at Alcorn State in Lorman, Mississippi, where he won the 1994 Walter Payton Award as the top player in NCAA Division I-AA.

They stopped short of calling the slayings a murder-suicide carried out by Kazemi, but said they are not looking for any suspects.
