Raavan movie world premiere Shah Rukh Khan and Bachchans together in London Posted: 17 Jun 2010 03:53 AM PDT Bollywood superstar joined the biggest name in the Bollywood industry, Bachchan family for the world premiere of their film, 'Raavan'. The appearance pulled huge crowds. Hundreds of people gathered at British Film Institute in London’s Southbank for the premiere. Well, more people came to see the Khan and Big Bachchan, the two top names in the Bollywood industry, who are supposed to be rivals of each other. In the weekend, Amitabh tweeted, "Shah Rukh, Abhishek probably spoke to you about the London premiere of ‘Raavan’, see you, Gauri and the kids there. Good that you are coming." Abhishek was very happy to see the response of the people in London, and said, "It’s wonderful. Look at the reception we’ve got. We are feeling on top of the world and so happy that we came to London to premiere the film." SRK was there in London for shooting for his film 'Ra One'. A co-production of Reliance BIG Pictures and Madras Talkies, 'Raavan' stars Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and the Tamil superstar Vikram playing the role of the husband of Lady Bachchan in the Hindi version. In the Tamil version, the lead role of the antagonist is played by Vikram, replacing real life hubby, Abhishek, and the role of the husband is played by Prithviraj. In both the Hindi and Tamil versions, Aishwarya plays the role of Ragini, a dance teacher who is married to a policeman. | ||

And to greet the occasion in the most respectful Nepali family, the list of invites contains all the big names including President Ram Baran Yadav, Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, Former King Gyanendra, and the Maoist Chief Prachanda. Some other big political leaders have also been invited to greet the occasion. From Bollywood film industry, Govinda and other friends of Manisha are also expected to greet the occasion. The wedding ceremony will take place in a Swayambar at Gokarna forest resort in Eastern Kathmandu according to Nepali tradition and culture. The wedding ceremony will be attended only by relatives and around 150 close family friends, and will be a low key affair. The event will not be covered by media. However the reception would be a grand occasion at Hotel Soaltee Crowne Plaza, Kathmandu, and about 3,000 people are expected to greet the event. Manisha Koirala is the Grand daughter of Late B P Koirala, the first democratically elected Prime Minister of Nepal. Samrat Dahal is from a renowned business family in Nepal. His father, Surendra Dahal is the owner of the Leather Wings, a big leather company. The would-be-groom has returned to his home country after completing his Masters Degree in alternative energy in the U.S. According to close friends, both of them having been dating for more than a year, and seem to be comfortable and in deep love with each other. The actress had been in many relationships in the Bollywood industry and outside. She even broke off two engagements in the past. Hope this time, the things work well. Ramya Kannada Actress: Gautham Vasudev all set to launch the Tamil version of VTV Posted: 16 Jun 2010 10:03 PM PDT Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Tamil Film, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya (VTV), has recently completed 100 successful days. He is now getting offers to remake it in several languages. He has now decided to remake the film in Kannada language, and he seemed very excited about the project. He has even decided its star cast. He is considering Diganth and Ramya for the lead roles. Gautham Menon, who directed the Tamil version, is deeply interested in directing the Kannada version also, but presently he is busy with a film in which Sameera Reddy is in the leading role. Silambarasan and Trisha played the lead roles in the Tamil version, but Gautham also thinks that Ramya and Dignath would make a better pair in the Kannada remake. Gautham has already worked with Ramya in Varanam Aayiram, and he thinks that she would be ideal for the role. According to the director, the story line of the movie will remain the same in the Kannada remake, and the project is scheduled to be launched in the month of August. |
