HAU Hisar to start short term new courses

Chandigarh – The CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar has decided to start  three short term courses from  July this year in the field of textile and hosiery making, creative writing as well as bakery and confectionery.
While stating this today, a spokesman of the University said that the course in textile and hosiery making would be of one year duration. He said that the aim of textile and hosiery making course was to make women self reliant as these programmes were very beneficial for gaining employment. Women could start their own ventures after being trained in these courses. This being an entirely women oriented course, only women could get admission in it, he added.
He said that creative writing as well as  bakery and confectionery courses would be of four months duration each.  Men and women both could get admission in these courses. The forms for textile and hosiery making and creative writing could be submitted by July 5, 2010 and for bakery and confectionery by July 28.
HAU Hisar has declared the results of HAU Entrance examination for the Undergraduate and post graduate courses for session starting from 2010. Applicants can find their results at the university website or Indiaresults.com.

GJU Hisar Examination from June 30 to 21 July 2010

Chandigarh – The Directorate of Distance Education of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar will hold examination of various courses from June 30 to 21 July 2010. The examinations would be conducted in two sessions that is in the morning session from 10 a.m. to 1p.m. and in the evening session from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.
While giving this information today a spokesman of the university said that these examinations would be held at 56 examination centers located in 38 cities across the country. These centers have been set up at Ambala, Bhiwani, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Hisar, Jind, Kaithal, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Narnaul, Panchkula, Chandigarh, Panipat, Rewari, Rohtak, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Yamunanagar, Tohana, Delhi, Amritsar, Barnala, Dabwali, Patiala, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Sikar,  Ghaziabad, Kanpur, Shimla, Jammu, Rewa, Datiya, Hydrabad, Rajamundri, Aligarh and Haridwar.
He said that the courses for which the examinations would be conducted included, PGDCA/MCA (three year) – first semester (Re-appear), PGDCA/MCA (three year)- second semester, main and re-appear, M.Sc. (CS)/MCA (three year) – third semester (re-appear), MSc (CS)/MCA (three year) – fourth semester main and re-appear, MCA-fifth semester (re-appear), MBA- first and third semester (re-appear), MBA-second and fourth semester, main and re-appear, M.Sc (Maths)- second semester (main) and examination of all annual courses, main as well as re-appear.

Adequate funds will be provided to Murthal University for Development

Chandigarh – Haryana Chief Minister Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that adequate funds will be provided for the development of core facilities such as girls' hostels, teaching blocks, houses for faculty and laboratories etc. of the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Murthal.
The Chief Minister was presiding over the meeting of Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Murthal here. Mr. Hooda directed Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Finance Department Mr. Ajit M. Saran to release a sum of Rs.15 crore during the current financial year so that ongoing development works of the university might not be hampered.
In the meeting, Dr. H S Chahal, Vice Chancellor of the University gave a presentation on various academic courses and development plan of the university from the year 2010-11 to 2014-15. He said that a new course M. Tech in Highway Safety and Engineering would be started from academic session 2010-11 for which a proposal had been submitted to Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Haryana Public Works Department (B & R) and UNICON (USA). Beside this, M. Tech in Energy Studies and Environment Management had been started from 2009-10 and the Department of Science and Technology, Haryana had approved Rs one crore for Centre of Excellence for testing of renewable energy, he added.
The Chief Parliamentary Secretary,Ms Sharda Rathore, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Chhatar Singh, Deputy Principal Secretary to Chief Minister  Mr. R. S. Doon, Director, Technical Education Department Mr. P. K. Gupta and other senior officers of the department and university were also present on the occasion.
