Salt Review: Jolie’s action flick which had plenty of “Salt”.

Salt

Salt

Angelina Jolie starring Salt has a mystery right in the tag line itself which if unraveled in the movie Review will spoil the nerve cracking surprises in the very beginning and therefore for the time being deal with the tagline, "Who is Salt?" Jolie's stupendous action skills have forced the sex change of Edwin A.

Salt initially designed for Tom Cruise to Evelyn Salt, the lethal, lithe and bad-ass character who is mesmerizing in the form of Angelina Jolie who is a CIA officer.

Law honouring citizen, Kurt Wimmer writes the summer popcorn entertaining movie with the extremes of writing the "24's"  extended episode.

As the main lead is now a female right from the first scene in the movie where in a prison, in north Korea, jolie is monstrously interrogated, there are hardly any punches in the drama.

The proceedings actually begin when Evelyn along with an german arachnologist  prepares for her wedding anniversary, who had helped her in the release. But her world is rocked with a sudden shock when the Russian defector, Orlov (Daniel Olbrychski) who she is interviewing for digging up the existence of undercover lives in america being trained by a Soviet network, names her too which upsets the proceedings at the CIA headquarters dramatically.

The beautifully woven situations with the accompanying twist and turns questions the audiences belief asking if salt is really the suspected mole or a patriot which is further deepened by her fierceness and her mind bogling arguments.

The incarnations of jolie beginning from a long haired blonde and end being a Russian military officer are tailormade for her which further proves that this physically agile, gorgeous and charismatic heroine has no solid competition in the movies whatsoever.

It could have easily been the last show of one of the top five contestants of Indian Idol, Rakesh. Yesterday in the elimination round, he was saved by Veto power of judges – Sunidhi Chauhan, Anu Kapoor and Salim Merchant.

No elimination took place yesterday and all 5 contestants have moved towards the next round.

The veto power, given for the first time in the history of Indian Idol, is one which allows the judges to save a contestant from elimination if they feel that he deserves to be inside the circle of Indian Idol. But this veto power can be used only once in the season. And now since they have already used their veto, in future cases if they feel the need to save a contestant, they would have no other option but to eliminate the contestant.

Indon Idol 5 is dwelling in a cut throat competition and that makes it very difficult for the judges to chose one.

Rakesh has truly deserved to stay and is one of the best singers. He has a melodious voice and strong chances of winning.

Lets see in the next week, whether or not, Rakesh stands the test of time
