 Chak Dhoom Dhoom Winner,Sparsh Shrivastav Chak Dhoom Dhoom, the kids reality dance show, which has become very popular, aired it’s grand finale today. The winner was 11 year old boy from Agra, Sparsh Shrivastav. The show which airs on colors, had gained a lot of viewership. Sparsh’s mother has a lot of contribution in his win, as he has been trained in folk, Kathak and other bollywood style dances, by his mother. His contendors were Piyush Bhagat from Jammu, Tejaswani Behera from Orissa and Maharashtra’s Gauri Ingwale. The show which required 13 weeks of continuous hardwork and discipline from the children, had Akshay Kumar alongwith Trisha as the celebrity judges for the finale. They also took the opportunity along with Shaan and Sajid Khan to promote their latest film Khatta Meetha. The show had showcased various dance forms and it kept it’s tradition in the finale too by showcasing disco, Kathak, lavni and Tango. The judges of the show, Saroj khan, Bosco Caesar, Ahmed Khan and Pony Verma were all praises for the contestants. | ||
| Bengal Plane Crash In Jalpaiguri WB Posted: 24 Jul 2010 04:54 AM PDT  MIG-27 Jalpaiguri: An MIG crash has been reported in West Bengal on Saturday at 10:30am. The fighter jet was going on a routine sortie when the mishap occurred. The Bengal crash occurred in a field that was located near the Hashimara Air Base. Saket Verma the pilot of the MIG-27 luckily ejected himself but has been hospitalized with injuries. Till now there has been casualty count of 1 dead & 5 grievously injured. 5 of the injured are said to be in critical condition. The accident occurred between Moynaguri and Chengrabandha 25kn off the air base, causing the plane to crash in a farmer's field killing the farmer B. Rai on the spot. | ||
| KHATTA MEETHA: Receives Khatta Meetha Response In Metro Cities Box Office Report Posted: 24 Jul 2010 03:19 AM PDT  KHATTA MEETHA Trisha Krishnan and the Macho Man Akshay Kumar's new movie Khatta Meetha is now going through the litmus test of audience in the cinemas and multiplexes. Box Office Report of Khattta Meetha has been giving a Meetha to the movie making team in cinemas but so far as its report in Multiplexes of metro cities is concerned so it has given them slightly khatta taste in terms of income. In cinemas the collection of Khatta Meetha has been heart warming. It has almost touched 85% or 90%. Talking about its collection in the multiplexes of metro cities like Delhi or Mumbai so it has been a off day so far. In other words we can say that it has not received a warm response. In metro cities its collection has been only near to 50%. In this movie Macho Man has done nothing exceptional and different. He has done what he has been doing since his debut. But his act has still gone well with the audience as people have loved it. But in metro cities audience does not seem to be attracted towards this movie. It seems as if this movie has given an impression of monotonous to the audience of metro cities. It has happened may be owing to his previous mega hit "houseful" that received mesmerizingly hypnotic response owing to his hilarious comedy caliber that makes people feel like laughing out of their sleeves. So I cogitate that people expected the performance of same standard that he showed in "Houseful". Moreover, another major reason of it is that team of Akshay Kumar and Priyradarshan has always been acquaintance to everyone for producing marvelous comic work. Due to this standard of their work especially when they are together in one flick audience expected the same sort of rib-tickling performance. Their earlier movies like" Hera Pheri" and "Bhagam Bhag" testify loudly about the standard of their glorious performance. In regard of Khatta Meetha experts have different opinion and they believe it should be compared with "Houseful" because no doubt it has some comedy in it but ultimately it is a kind of movie that has lot of other things to show which are entirely of different type. But at the same time experts also say that Khatta Meetha must perform out of its sleeves in multiplexes especially today and tomorrow. The main reason of it is that single screen cinema lag way behind when it comes to generate revenue. So here multiplexes come handy. So it is matter of great sorrow that it is a satire not a comic work. So audience is mainly staying away from Khatta Meetha because of not getting comedy in it. | ||
| Abu Salem Suffers Minor Injuries, Attack By Dawood’s Man Posted: 24 Jul 2010 03:06 AM PDT  Abu Salem Mumbai: Abu Salem the notorious criminal who is currently jailed in Arthur Road jail suffered minor injuries today. The Police are unaware of what lead to such an attack on Salem but have confirmed that another jailed criminal Mustafa Dossa was behind the attack. 42-yr old Abu Salem was attacked by Dawood's henchman Dossa who inflicted minor wounds on his face with a sharp object. Salem who is in Arthur Road jail, is awaiting trial for 9 cases the most infamous being the 1993 bomb blast case as well as the Gulshan Kumar's murder case. He was earlier in 2005 extradited from Portugal. Mustafa Dossa is also in jail regarding the blasts in a separate case. A police team is reportedly on the spot & situation is under control as said by a senior inspector. The attack on Abu Salem by Dossa raises questions about the security in one of the strictest jails in India. | ||

 Chiranjeevi Chiranjeevi the President of Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) is actively initiating to forge his parties bond with the Congress. This issue was being held under speculation by the state politics from quite a long period, but now it is clearly evident that the connection between the two parties is improving day by day. It was only recently that congress chief Sonia Gandhi and Chiranjeevi held a meeting together which became the political hot talk.  bigg boss 4 Bigg Boss4 the reality series is all set to rock the Television world again but unlike the previous season wherein the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan were the chosen host of the serial, this time the show is facing a host crisis. An insider source revealed that the show has a distinct policy of not repeating its hosts and is therefore searching for other possible options that can fit the deal. Moreover the source also revealed that the bigger Bachchan had already given his time for the quiz series Kaun Banega Crorepati season 4 and therefore picking another choice was the only possible option. After this decision the channel tried to convince Shahrukh Khan to accept the offer for hosting their reality show based on his fame and popularity amongst the general audience. But things did not work out with him as he already has his dates scheduled for Don 2 with Priyanka Chopra in Bali. Sources revealed, "The channel went all out to get Shah Rukh to host Bigg Boss 4. They even offered him a larger remuneration than Big B. But SRK could not agree to play host because of lack of time. The dates for Bigg Boss 4 clashed with Shah Rukh's shooting schedule for Farhan Akhtar's Don 2 with Priyanka Chopra in Bali." Om has already filed for divorce and Nandita’s lawyer has already received the documents from Puri’s lawyer, which have to be signed by her within two weeks to settle things amicably. If she does not sign the papers within the time period then things can turn ugly for the estranged couple. "It would be better for Om Puri and his family if things do not reach that stage. Else, it would amount to washing dirty linen in public," is what a source had to say. Although the couple had tried giving their marriage a shot for the sake of their Ishan and had even thrown a Anniversary party on 1st May, but then things did not work out. "But lately, Om and Nandita have been quarreling a lot. Om has finally decided to end it. He now spends most of his time in their second flat," is what the source had to add further.  Amit Shah Amit shah, the Gujrat home state minister and Narendra Modi's chief associate, submitted his resignation from Gujrat ministry on Saturday. The minister has been slammed with charges of murder and the kidnapping of a suspected criminal Sohrabuddin Sheikh and Kauser Bi his wife in the month of November, 2005. After receiving the information of Amit Shahs resignation, Narendra Modi who is at the moment in the Capital attending the National Development Council Meeting commented, “As I landed here in Delhi, I have information that Amit Shah’s resignation has reached my residence in Gandhinagar. On return, I will accept it and complete the formalities.” Modi also confirmed to the fact that his formal acceptance of Amit Shah's resignation was very important as it was needed to follow up the legal procedures necessitated in the Sohrabuddin case. He said, “He was accepting it because under the Constitution, certain formalities have to be fulfilled”. The resignation from the Gujrat home minister was a precursor to the charges levied on him by the CBI. Amit Shah was to be summoned by 1 pm on Friday but after the lapse of this period the CBI issued a charge sheet asking for his arrest by the court. Even his bail application was further more rejected by the CBI court. Narendra Modi also added that this case against Amit shah was a form of revenge from the congress's side upon the BJP government. | ||

 Mir Ranjan Negi M.K. Kauskik, hockey Chief Coach, was charged against Sexual Harassment case by Ranjitha Devi. On Friday, the four-member inquiry was made and finished the report. Sources say that no conclusions have been drawn. Only the written explanations from the complainant and the accused have been cited. The members have not made any recommendations yet. The four member inquiry constituted of Sudarshan Pathak, Hockey India member Rajiv Mehta, and government observers Zafar Iqbal and Ajitpal Singh. From what has been told, Chairman Mehta, has heard testimonials from both the parties, Kaushik and Ranjitha Devi. "We have had lots of testimonies from both the parties as well some other players and manager of the team Madhu Yadav and we don't need to talk to any individual further. The actor has put up a special get up to enact the role of a corrupt police officer handling illegitimate acts around the Uttar Pradesh and Bihar region. Apart from that the movie is also introducing a new comer, Shatrughan Sinha's daughter Sonakshi Sinha in the lead role opposite Salman Khan. The very first trailer that was show cased on Thursday set the fans wanting more. Insiders from the industry revealed, “The promo leaves you breathless. It has you off your seats with its witty dialogues and action sequences. Salman Khan has never looked better. It will leave audiences craving for more.” The film is a product of the actors own home production which has been produced by Arbaaz Khan, his younger brother. The movie is made under the direction of Abhinav Kashyap who has a list of credits under his belt. Action director S Vijayan who worked with Salman in Wanted as well is back to offer the audience great action sequences and some wild stunts particularly choreographed by him for this movie. |
