Earlier many movies earned highlights with the help of controversies and became mega hits. Shahrukh Khan's My Name Is Khan is a perfect example of it. It depicted the innocence of Muslims who were fury of the country's people after 26/11. Many political parties earned highlights by adding a controversy with the name of this movie. It created lot of chaos in the Maharashtra when dictator Raj used it as a source of remaining in highlights. Now Amir Khan's Peepli live has also fallen into the category of the same sort of movies. Now Peepli Live is in highlights because of the suicide committed by the poverty stricken farmer who is not in a position to pay his debt. Now after the release of this movie Vidarbha Janandolan Samiti is endeavoring to attract the attention of the people towards itself by using this movie as a source. Vidarbha Janandolan Samiti has objected severely against this movie. This objection has been made by Vidarbha Janandolan Samiti because of the suicide that has been committed by the poverty stricken farmer who is not in a position to pay his debt. According to the president of Vidarbha Janandolan Samiti Kishor Tiwari whatever has been shown in this particular movie is completely a fib. He has also added that the daily soap "Bairi Piya" has depicted that the debt stricken Vidarbha farmers are selling their daughters in order to become capable of clearing their debts. But the stuff what in Peepli Live has been shown is far away from ground reality. Vidarbha Janandolan Samiti president Kishor Tiwari also says that the ground reality is that Vidarbha farmers are victim to globalization and poor policies of the state government. Now Vidarbha Janandolan Samiti has drafted a letter in order to get this movie banned in Maharashtra as early as possible because according to him Peepli Live is a kind of insult for Vidarbha farmers. Moreover, Peepli Live has added insult to the injury of poor framers, says Kishore Tiwari. Kishore Tiiwari is looking is not looking in any mood of sparing Amir Khan on this issue. He also said that Amir Khan must have consulted experts before finalizing this script, But in this regard now Amir Khan has also jumped into the battle field of allegations. He is giving his best shot in order to save this movie from being banned in Maharashtra. In the defense of his movie and movie making team he says that the team consulted the experts before working on the script. Moreover, Peepli Live a depiction of lackluster approach of lackadaisical government towards those farmers who are under the thorns of huge debt. In addition to it we have tried to make a kind of satire on the suicide of farmers in Vidarbha and media and political responses. Peepli Live has been directed and composed by Anusha Rizvi. She also added in the defense of Peepli Live and said our team has not made this movie for adding insult to the injury of someone who is already leading his life on the bed of thorns because of being under huge debt. She says that Peepli Live is an effort to make Vidarbha representatives aware about the condition of the farmers. Now both the parties are face to face in the battle field. On the one hand Vidarbha Janandolan Samiti is trying to kindle their candle of politics by using Peepli Live as a source. On the other hand Amir Khan and his Production team is defiantly defending a low budget Peepli Live. So what will happen in this case is a matter of time but one that is sure that now both the parties have been benefited with this controversy because if VJAS has succeeded in getting something to keep themselves in highlights so Peepli Live has also come into the eyes of the spectators already. |

Super singer, Karthik, adored by fans all over would also be an interesting watch considering that this would be his 1st ever performance in Andhra Pradesh along with his band. Ali and Suma have been assigned to carry the viewers forward by their amazing compering. It would be a more compelling event not to miss since it has been designed by top technicians to attain international standards. It is an award ceremony purely driven by its viewers. The viewers can decide their choice from among the nominees already announced on Maa TV and sms their votes to make their favourite contestant win. Magadheera's Kajal and Ram Charan have been nominated in best heroine and hero categories respectively. The same goes for Ileana and Ravi Teja for Kick. Allu Arjun, Srikanth and Prabhas got nominations too for Aarya 2, Mahatma and Ek Niranjan respectively. The famous Tamil director who has films like Thiruvilayadal Aarambam and Devadayai Kandein has again proved himself through his winning formula. This time he has come up with a flick that revolves around a boys love story with an exception.  Kadhal Solla Vandhen The girl he is in love with is 2 years older to him. The character of the boy named Prabhu is being played by Balaji while the girl is Sandhya played by Meghana Raj. Prabhu is a young fun loving, laid back kind of a boy whose life changes all of a sudden when he falls in love with Sandhya at first sight itself. The story begins with a normal college in the routine way but the twist and turns in the tale render it a new flavor for the audience to watch out for. Prabhu knows nothing about Sandhya, neither her name or her any other detail. The turn comes in when suddenly gets to know that the girl is older to him by two years, but Prabhu does not let go of his feelings for Sandhya and instead decides on winning her love through any means. The flick is both comical and serious. The actor has put up an even better performance this time. Meghana Raj fits into the role of Sandhya pretty well and the music by Yuvan Shankar Raja gets the film brownie points. |

It is true our film industry does need freedom or independence from the old storyline and plots to try something new and fresh. Keeping in mind the release in 2009 and early 2010 there has been a marked difference in the approach where there have been releases like Luck by chance staring Farhan Akhtar which said a true honest story never said before. The movie discussed the filthy tactics to survive in Bollywood today. Then came the modern Devdas of Anurag Kashyap's Dev D, followed by the likes of Gulaal, straight and then came the Amitabh bachchan starrer PAA which discussed progeria and its impact. The Year ended with Aamir Khan's fabulous attack on the education system of India In the successful 3 Idiots- a complete entertainer. The year of 2010 had its own fresh releases with Karan Johar's attempt at xenophobia treating the fear of a Muslim anywhere in the world which was followed by love sex and Dhoka in March. Then in June came Rajneeti which was an attempt to showcase the hypocrisy of the corrupt political system of the nation. And the trend is still on with Peepli live speaking of farmer's suicide and Antardwand addressing the issue of groom abduction. |

He asserted that the India's non violent freedom movement that culminated in its independence on 15th August 1947 has had important effects on the US and many other countries.  Mahhi Vij Mahi Vij, who plays perhaps the ugliest character on any of the serials of Colors or maybe even on the whole of Indian Television, Nakusha in ‘Laagi Tujhse Lagan‘, has turned out to be eternally beautiful. She is the same hot doll, you used to admire in the video remix song of ‘Tu Tu Hai Vahi’. Mahi belongs to Delhi, but later moved to Mumbai to start her career in the glamor industry. She eventually landed up as a model at the age of 16. Later, she got to do her first music video, ‘Tu Tu Hai Vahi’ and even later scored a regular role in one the highly watched soaps on Colors. The actor now works on Shubh Kadam on Sahara one. She talks about her first auditions for her role in the daily soap. She said " When the auditions for Nakusha’s rola started, I decided to just go for it. I asked my brother to accompany me as I felt I was looking pretty that particular day and was in a good mood". The auditions were held on a huge scale with candidates being called from all over the country. But Mahi knew it the moment she was through with her interview. As she said "when I finished the look test and came out, I knew that this was my role as I had that intuition." |

The Bollywood Diva, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, is so far the only actor in Bollywood who has attained a little success in the far off land. Many Bollywood actors have previously tried to set foot in Hollywood, but never in the lead have they ever been very successful. Irrfan Khan is another actor after Mrs. Bachchan who has somehow managed to have gotten more than one role in Hollywood movies. Akshay Kumar is now free of hosting his sporty reality show, ‘Khhatron Ke Khiladi’ on Colors, which now, the former Indian Miss Universe, Priyanka Chopra, would be hosting. The Hollywood venture, which the action star has chosen, has been named as ‘Break Away’. Break Away, which is being directed by Robert Lieberman, is based on the sport – Ice Hockey. The productions are however, Indian by Hari Om Productions under Akshay’s name. Alliance Films have always had a way with Akshay Kumar. The audience is getting attracted to the film despite its rural setting and non-glossy treatment. It seems they have abandoned other action based and colorful flicks for the village story. Being a weekend, the coming days are expected to show better response despite the fact that dialect language being used in the movie is quite hard to follow. The song 'Mahangayee Dayan' has also gone down well with the common man and the viewers seem to make full use of the Independence Day and festive period. It has been reported that the fil has already recovered its costs, which comes to around Rs. 6 crores. Its rural setting and relatively unknown actors have kept the price comparatively low. However, Aamir Khan has reportedly sold its satellite rights to Colors for Rs. 6 crores and mucis rights to T-series for Rs. 2 crores. This total of Rs. 8 crores has already left behind the production costs. Therefore the theatrical collection will just be added profit for Aamir as the producer. |

 Deepika Padukone Deepika Padukone and Neil nitin Mukesh, the lead pair of the upcoming film 'Lafangey Parindey' shall be seen in tonight's episode of India's Got Talent'. Deepika wiil showcase her skate-dancing talent on the show, while Neil would be seen encouraging his leading lady of the film. The episode will also serve as a promotional platfrom for the movie. Interestingly, Deepika's character Pinky Palkar is shown as actually participating in the audition of the show to fulfill her dreams. Deepika plays a blind girl in film who is guided by her determination to win a dance show, despite here physical challenges. Neil plays One shot Nandu, a tapori living in chawl who falls in love with Deepika. He helps her to overcome the difficulties so as to take forward her ambitions. He otherwise seems to be engaged in the usual night racing on his the deserted roads. Neil's personality was at looked upon as unfit to play a tapori. But director Pradeep Sarkar however was convinced that he would be able to do justice to the role. It seems the actor has come out with a spectacular performance in the lead role. To cover northern part of India, the movie, ‘Endhiran- The Robot’, would release music on 14 August in Hindi. Endhiran-The Robot, is the costliest movie in the history of Indian cinema. The movie would start its promotion tomorrow onwards starting from Mumbai. The music launch of Endhiran-The Robot was a successful event, which was held in Kuala Lampur, in Malaysia on July 31. India will have its own music launch in Mumbai tomorrow a the Morriot hotel, where a formal function would be held. Bollywood’s top actors, or rather should they be called the two Kings, Bollywood has ever seen, Shahrukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan would be present at Marriot as the guest of honor for the launch of the music.  Vamsam Vamsam is the debut film for Arulnidhi, who is the grandson of the chief minister of the state of Tamil Nadu, M Karunanidhi who generously praised the hard work, determination and acting skills of the new comer. On Thursday a special screening of the movie Vamsam was organized for the family of the chief minister and also accompanying the Minister where his colleagues and other cabinet ministers who were equally encouraging for the new actor and his skills. After watching the movie the chief minister praised his grandson and the director Pandiraj as well who did a commendable job for the movie. When the actor was questioned for his grandfather's remarks he said that he was happy to receive appreciation from his grandfather whom he considers a senior in the industry. The budding actor also added that he was hopeful that the movie would also be well received by the masses at the Box office. The movie has been produced by M K Thamizharasu who is Arulnidhi's father and it will hit the Silver screen today. The movie has Sunaina playing the female lead and the brilliant music of the movie has been given by Taj Noor who was an associate of A R Rahman in the past. |

 chikku bukku Chikku Bukku a forthcoming movie by director Manikandan, has its audio version hitting music stores today, there are also controversies making rounds that the actor Arya who is the film's protagonist has allegation forced on him by the film producers that the actor is not extending any form of co-operation for the dubbing of the film and is instead more keener on releasing his other flick 'Boss Engira Baskaran'. But the actor has denied ant such happening and instead claimed that he is rendering his absolute co-operation for a part of this film. Arya's character in the flick is related to music and he thus plays a DJ living in London. The introductory song of the film is shot like a rap album. In this particular album the dancers accompanying the actor were from the United Kingdom's popular dance academy. The shooting of the film was done in London as well as Tamil Nadu as the movie revolves around Arya's life in London and also his love interest Shriya, making the movie more like a travelogue encompassing love. The music score for the film has been put up by the colonial cousins while the director himself Manikandan has been a close associate to late Jeeva, a very famous director cum cinematographer |

 SRK SRK makes it big ones again. The famous actor who initially had a wax statue at the Londons Madame Tussauds now has another one unveiled at the Tussauds museum in New York City. The celebration that surrounded this event was marvelous. The Axion bollywood dance group performed on the song tracks of the 45year old actor's film 'My Name Is Khan'. The new wax figure sports the Khan Style statement, sporting a black suit along with a white shirt. The unveiling event was also accompanied with the DVD release of SRK's flick My Name is Khan. The actor had a very challenging role in the movie as he enacted the character of an Indian Muslim individual affected by a complex called the Asperger’s Syndrome. The story revolves around this particular character on how he finds the love of his life and the situations that mark him following the 9/11 attack in America. After the unveiling of SRK's statue, the tourist at New York quickly sufficed back by taking photo shots along with the figure. The marketing director of the Tussauds museum, Rosemary Del Prado said that bollywood has turned into a very conventional feature among many and that the wax figure of the actor showcased his present look, by pointing at the black zipper and a button down undershirt. Wax figures of actor's like Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai are also prominent amongst the other museum features. |
