Sienna Miller denies secret marriage with Jude LawHollywood actress Sienna Miller has denied reports that she secretly married actor Jude Law earlier this year.

The couple took part in a spiritual ceremony in Laos in April during an Asian vacation, and many reports suggested the Baci ritual was a cover for a secret wedding.

However, Miller insists she did not marry the "Sherlock Holmes" star and just had their relationship "blessed", reports contactmusic.com.

"It wasn't a marriage ceremony at all. It was a blessing from a monk. The whole thing (about a wedding) was completely fabricated," she said.

The couple called off their engagement in 2006 shortly after Law's affair with his children's nanny was exposed. However, they reunited last year and went public with their rekindled romance in May.

Singer-Actress Hilary Duff misses her teenageSinger-actress Hilary Duff says she regrets how thin she allowed herself to get when she was a teenager.

"I got pretty skinny when I was between 17 and 19. At the time I was starting to become aware of what people said about me and how I looked in pictures. I regret it because I don't think I was happy then," femalefirst.co.uk quoted Hilary as saying.

However, the "Play With Fire" singer now gives a word of advice to her fans.

"Eat lots of vegetables, fruit, or blend chopped veggies and Greek yogurt to make a healthy dip. You should have small snacks throughout the day and indulge in small bites of favourite foods.

"Eat healthy things with a high fat content, like dark chocolate and avocado for a treat," she said.

Begum Nawazish Ali wants to sort out matter with Bal Thackeray

Begum Nawazish Ali wants to sort out matter with Bal ThackerayWell-known Pakistani TV actor Ali Saleem, better known as Begum Nawazish Ali, fails to understand why the Shiv Sena was targetting him and fellow Pakistani Veena Mallik for featuring in "Bigg Boss 4", but wants to settle the issue with party supremo Bal Thackeray over a cup of tea.

"I just fail to understand why Shiv Sena did what they did. It has come as a surprise to me because we (he and Veena Mallik) came here as guests. We were invited, and the least we expected was hospitality from the Indians," Ali, who was evicted from the Bigg Boss house in the episode aired Friday, told IANS.

The Shiv Sena earlier held protests at Lonavala, a hill station near Mumbai, where shooting for the reality show is on, demanding the removal of Ali and Mallik from the show on Colors channel.

"I really respect Bal Thackeray-ji, though I don't know what the reason is but I would really want him to invite me for a cup of tea and sort out the matter in a mature manner. I just want to let him know that I'm not a threat to India," he added.

Ali, a cross-dresser, says the Bigg Boss house was a platform to test his patience.

"I'm happy to be back in the real world. The experience in the house was par excellence. Nobody can imagine the life that one has to live, the show is shear reality and is an unpredictable platform for the contestants and also for the viewers.

"It's a hard life inside those four walls. I have never lived under such restricted circumstances. In my world, I have been a 'spoilt begum'. I have spent three very peaceful weeks in the house which has left pleasing memories but I feared that if I would have stayed a little longer I could have burst out because I was reaching my saturation point," said Ali, who has played the cross-dressing Begum Nawazish Ali on various Pakistani television channels.

So, who is playing dirty politics in the house?

"If I have to name, it will be Sameer Soni, Manoj Tiwari and Shweta Tiwari. These are the three contenders who are trying to dirty the atmosphere. However, their politics till now has not been harmful for any of the housemates," he said

Ali also revealed he is in awe of former dacoit and contestant Seema Parihar.

"I'm fond of her. Seema-ji is one of the honest and crystal clear characters on the show. She is upfront and is not at all 'dhongi' (pretentious). She is my first favourite in the house. And she also has a strong chance of winning the big race.

"To add to the list, the latest entry of 'The Great Khali' has been refreshing for the contestants. And I think he will have a strong hold on the audiences' mind," he said.

"Bigg Boss 4", being shot at a house in Lonavala, started Oct 3 with 13 contestants in a house without any communication with the outside world. The contestants are under constant camera surveillance. Ten contestants now remain on the show after three weeks.

Pankaj Kapur focuses on directorial debut with son Shahid Kapur

Pankaj Kapur focuses on directorial debut with son Shahid KapurPankaj Kapur is so busy with his directorial debut "Mausam", a film he hopes will take his son Shahid Kapur's career to greater heights, that his movie with filmmaker Bhavna Talwar has been delayed. But she's not complaining.

Talwar and Pankaj Kapur had earned rave reviews for "Dharm", the filmmaker's first venture. Now "Happi", their second outing together, was completed a year ago but Pankaj Kapur's dubbing needs to be done.

Apparently Pankaj had assured the director that the dubbing of "Happi", where he plays a common man on the streets of Mumbai inspired by Charlie Chaplin's characters, would be completed during a break between the schedules of "Mausam". But now he would be able to do so only after his directorial debut is complete.

"Pankaj-ji is not happy with the way some of Shahid's recent films have gone. He feels Shahid needs that one big epic push which 'Mausam' can give him. And Pankaj-ji wants to focus entirely on building that one monumental film which would put Shahid right up there where Pankaj-ji thinks his son belongs," a source said.

Interestingly, Bhavna Talwar's husband Sheetal is the producer of "Mausam". But Bhavna has no complaints and says she will wait for Pankaj Kapur.

"It's true Pankaj-ji has decided to focus on his project. Both my husband and I have too much respect for Pankaj-ji to question what he does. He took my first film 'Dharm' to great heights. Now he is not only directing his first film for us, but is also the lead in my second film. If I've to wait, I'll wait for as long as Pankaj-ji wants me to," she said.

Sushmita Sen, Kangana Ranaut to scorch the dance floor in upcoming film 'No Problem'Sushmita Sen, Kangana Ranaut to scorch the dance floor in upcoming film 'No Problem'International celebrities make way. Director Anees Bazmi says he's more than happy to have Bollywood's own sizzling stars - Sushmita Sen and Kangana Ranaut - to scorch the dance floor for a song in his forthcoming film "No Problem".

"There was no time to get any international celebrity. Our film is complete. Our first trailer was out with 'Anjaana Anjaani'. We just decided to add an extra title song. And we felt we don't really need outside contributions. Sushmita and Kangna are fabulous dancers," Bazmi said.

There were reports earlier that "No Problem" might see "Waka Waka" girl Shakira shake a leg.

The number featuring Sushmita, the former Miss Universe, and Kangana, who isn't seen in many dance numbers, will be choreographed by Ahmed Khan. And the buzz is that the two divas will pull out all stops in front of the camera to outdo each other.

Apparently the role models given to Ahmed Khan go back to Vyjanthimala and Helen in the sizzling dance combat in the 1960s "Prince" and Hema Malini and Parveen Babi in the 1970s' "The Burning Train".

Both Sushmita and Kanagana enjoy dancing and the idea would be to make their moves as casual and cool as possible.

The actors in the film -- Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor and Sunil Shetty - are also expected to join the two ladies on the dance floor in "No Problem", which is set to release in December.

Cheryl Cole considers 2010 the worst year of her life

Cheryl Cole considers 2010 the worst year of her lifePop star Cheryl Cole says she can't wait for 2010 to end because it has been the "worst year" of her life.

In the last few months, the pop star has had to cope with splitting from her soccer player husband Ashley Cole and has had to battle back from the brink of death after catching malaria.

"It has been the worst year, the worst in my life ever. You know what I want more than anything? Those last 10 seconds on New Year's Eve (31.12.10), '10, 9, 8 . 2011!' I'm going to scream then," femalefirst.co.uk quoted her as saying.

"I'm going to shout them out. I'm going to call everybody I love and just welcome the New Year and the new start," she said.

The 27-year-old singer feels "raw" from the separation and still can't understand why the 29-year-old England player - who was caught sending explicit picture messages to other girls from his mobile phone and cheated on her - behaved the way he did.

"I will never understand why it happened. Never. I just don't get it. We still talk - just general stuff. For anybody that's been through a divorce, it's the worst thing in the world.

"When your heart is breaking, it doesn't make a difference what car you drive, what house you have, all of that. It's a minor detail, it's nothing. Right now it's still fresh, it hasn't been that long, it's still raw. It does make you feel numb. I don't recognise myself sometimes. It has been non-stop tears, just too much," she said.

Actress Keira Knightley all set for a theatre comeback

Posted: 24 Oct 2010 03:14 AM PDT

Actress Keira Knightley all set for a theatre comebackBritish actress Keira Knightley is set to make a comeback on the stage after acting in "The Misanthrope" last year.

The "Pirates of the Caribbean" star took to the stage in December 2009 in an adaptation of playwright Moliere's classic, opposite Damian Lewis and Tara Fitzgerald. Knightley's performance was, however, mauled by critics who branded her inexperienced and inadequate.

However, she is returning to the stage with a production of Lillian Hellman's "The Children's Hour" opposite "Mad Men" star Elisabeth Moss, reports express.co.uk.

"The Children's Hour" is set in an all-girls boarding school and tells the story of an angry student who runs away and avoids being sent back by telling her family the two headmistresses are having a lesbian affair.

The story was made into a movie of the same name in 1961 starring Audrey Hepburn and Shirley MacLaine.

Aishwarya Rai says she can communicate with Sanjay Leela Bhansali even in silence

Aishwarya Rai says she can communicate with Sanjay Leela Bhansali even in silenceAishwarya Rai, who once again teams up with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in "Guzaarish", says they share a strange connection. The beautiful actress also says that the sensitive film helped the whole team reconnect with the goodness inside them.

"We are so strangely connected that we can communicate so much in silence. You can't bring down the experience of working with Sanjay in one word, sentence or a paragraph. Sanjay can't be contained in a word. We all say he is a genius, multi-faceted, but actually he is a real artiste. He sings, he breaks into dance, he loves music and he is very intense," Aishwarya told IANS in an interview.

"Guzaarish" being her third film with Bhansali after "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam" (1999) and "Devdas"(2002), the actress reveals that she has always felt being an important character in his films and not just the lead heroine.

"In his film, everyone is a character integral to his narrative and it's a pleasure working with him. You always feel that you are in a team. I experienced that in 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', I experienced that in 'Devdas', I experienced that in 'Guzaarish'," said Aishwarya, who plays a nurse to actor Hrithik Roshan's character of a paraplegic in "Guzaarish".

The actress refrains from saying that intense roles are harder than playing the typical Bollywood heroine. Citing her last two films with Hrithik - "Dhoom2" (2006) and "Jodhaa Akbar" (2008), Aishwarya says her roles were equally intricate to the genres of both the films.

"I have done a lot of intense films, lesser comedy films, and lesser commercially typical heroine films and yet I say all could be equally easier or tough. When you go without make-up, wear a sari, suddenly that role becomes more intense and just because you put make-up, wear dresses and do hair styles the role becomes frivolous...I think it's unfair to compartmentalise creativity like that. How you pose for the camera is also a craft.

"In 'Dhoom' we had to look smashing in every frame, the character's incidental in terms of acting nuances, but everything had to look perfect. That's also a method of the craft.

"In 'Jodhaa Akbar' we were doing a history together, but in every point while we were working with the detailing and authenticity with a director like Ashutosh Gowariker, we brought that in. It always played in our mind that it shouldn't look that today's kids are donning historical costumes. That needed a certain kind of craft," Aishwarya explained.

In "Guzaarish", Hrithik plays a paraplegic and "yes, I am playing a caretaker nurse, but within that we had to bring in the story that Sanjay really wants to tell and at the same time we have to be honest to our character in terms of expressing our inter-personal relations," Aishwarya said.

Asked if through the journey of making the film, she had subtly evolved as a better human being, she said: "The whole team felt that. Everyone has goodness in him or her. But everyone has experiences which help you connect or reconnect with the goodness in you or the goodness you wish to share. This film has been a very positive film for the whole team because of the intensity of the genre and the sensitivity of its nature."

'Letters To Juliet' Movie Review

Posted: 24 Oct 2010 02:56 AM PDT

'Letters To Juliet' Movie ReviewFilm: "Letters To Juliet"; Director: Gary Winick; Cast: Amanda Seyfried, Gael Garcia Bernal, Christopher Egan; Rating:**

Viewers have a right to suspect any film whose name carries either the word Romeo or Juliet. After all, what was that story but a tall tale of two teenage lovers. What made the story soar nonetheless was the brilliant writing of the bard. "Letters To Juliet", sadly, does not have the privilege of Shakespeare writing the story.

Sophie (Seyfried) is on a pre-wedding trip with her fiance in Italy when she finds an unanswered "letter to Juliet" -- one of thousands of missives left at the fictional lover's Verona courtyard, which are typically answered by the so-called "secretaries of Juliet", She goes on a quest to find the lovers referenced in the letter.

Sophie answers the 50-year-old unanswered letter and days later the woman flies down with her grandson Charlie (Egan).

Sophie, an aspiring writer, tries to help the woman find her long lost lover. In the process however, she falls in love with Charlie even as her uncaring fiance is busy with his own exploration. This only complicates her life further.

On the face of it, there is no problem with "Letters To Juliet" if that is you have never seen a romantic-comedy. If you are one among the millions who have, you will be disappointed. That is how predictable this film is.

What is worse is the concept of true love harped again and again, in sometimes mundane and, at other times bright lines. Does the world indeed need that juvenile concept of love between man and woman, or is it time for 'The Bard' to be reborn and write something that is more in tune with the times?

Amanda Seyfried as Sophie is as best as the role demands in her one dimensional portrait. The actor who soars is however Gael Garcia Bernal as Sophie's fiance Victor who excels in his role. Director Gary Winick re-enters his favourite genre - the mindless rom-com. However, despite his best attempt, he cannot salvage a sinking ship.

Yet, as we all know, there is a certain comfort in familiarity. The cliches may thus help some viewers enjoy the movie, rather than hamper it.
