China's Yu Zhenhuan, nicknamed "King Kong", is the world's harriest man.

His skin in 96% covered in hair. (The Guiness People Measured it)

King Kong has launched a publicity campaign, and I suppose this blog post is contributing to it, to take part in the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympic Games torch relay. 

He thinks he has good reason to be considered –  

1. "It would be a great honor to join the Olympic torch relay," he says. "Theyu.zhenhuan.jpg Olympics belong to everyone – the common people and those with abnormalities included."

It's hard to use common and abnormal in the same sentence, but he did it. That should earn him points right there.

2. He is a celebrity and BOCOG wants celebrities. 

3. Coping with a disfigurement ties in with the ? 

notion of Olympic spirit. (Uh, where?) 

4. He has the support of an Olympic Champion.  "In him, I see the perseverance and bravery of the Chinese people," says gold medalist Xing Aowei.

5. He was the poster boy (against his will) for the World Carnival Beijing. 

The Guiness people entered him in their book in 2002. (Can I get in for being the least harriest person?)

Obstinate and affectionate King Kong will get married later this year.

Perhaps BOCOG will reconsider his request, IF, he gets a haircut.

11. And I saw heaven opened; –

John is going to see something great.

and behold a white horse –

a winner. Pure and victorious.

and He who sat upon it called Faithful and True –

This is Christ. Remember chapter 1. Christ was the faithful and true witness.

and in righteous he judges and wages war. –

he brings judgment and punishment upon sin, He deals only in righteousness. This certainly is Christ.

12. And His eyes a flame of fire, and upon His head…except himself. –

He was adorned with power and glory. He had many victor’s crowns. Sounds just like the individual in chapter 1. That is Christ. His name was a name so extreme, so ultimate and so significant that no one ever experienced it. God only knows.

13. And clothed with a robe dipped in blood –

those whom he defeated for the cause of righteousness had spilled their blood on Him. He was a fighter.

and His name is called the Word of God. –

the rider can be none other than Christ. He is the Word of God. He is the one who is victorious. He won the battle. His robe is the one that is stained with blood.

14. And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white clean, were following him on white horses –

these are the faithful. These are the ones who followed after Christ. But their robes are not stained. They did not win the war. Christ won the war. They aren’t the King of kings. Christ is.

15. And from His mouth…the almighty. –

this is what he has done and what He can do. He is the almighty.

16. And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, –

we are going to learn who it is.

KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. –

This is Christ. Our leader.

17. And I saw an angel standing in the sun –

this angel certainly is from God.

and he cried out with a loud voice, saying to all the birds…for the supper of God –

all the birds assemble for the great supper. This is more of God’s judgment. We can tell by who it is that they eat.

18. in order that you may eat the flesh of kings…small and great –

the birds get all they want to eat. This is sure judgment upon the wicked.

19. And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies,…against His Army. –

this shows the real nature of the beast and his adversaries. No matter what they are constantly in opposition to Christ and His faithful.

Hyderabad bowled out for lowest ever total

Rajasthan bowled Hyderabad out for 21 to record the lowest ever total in first class cricket in India on Monday, the first day of the Ranji Trophy this year. The wrecker in chief was debutant Deepak Chahar, whose 45 ball spell earned him eight wickets while conceding ten runs.

Southern Punjab’s 22 was the previous lowest in Ranji Trophy cricket.

Chahar missed out on a record himself when he fell one wicket short of becoming only the second bowler to capture nine wickets in his debut innings in Ranji Trophy.

Vasant Ranjane had taken 9/56 in 1956-57.

Hyderabad had none of the batsmen getting to double figures and three of them scored ducks. There were no extras and the innings lasted 93 balls.

Abdul Razzaq slams century to win it for Pakistan

Abdul Razzaq scored a match-winning century to propel the Pakistanis to their first win of the series in the second ODI of the series at Abu Dhabi on Sunday. After losing two T20Is and an ODI, it looked like Pakistan was going to lose another game before the Razzaq innings.

Razzaq slammed his century off 71 balls and ensured that the Pakistani side chased down a total of 287 with one wicket and a ball to spare. In the last three overs, Razzaq slammed 54 runs and won the game for his side.

This was Razzaq’s third ODI century and had ten sixes in it.

Earlier, South Africa slammed 286 in their 50 overs thanks to Colin Ingram’s century. Hashim Amla and JP Duminy scored half centuries each.

The third ODI of the series will be played at Dubai on Tuesday.

Shanghai Automotive Profits Quadruple

SHANGHAI Automotive Co saw first half profits more than quadruple…partly because assets acquired in a share sale allowed for a boost in sales.

Net income in the first half of this year was up more than 300% from last year – $71 million.

Shanghai Auto became China's biggest carmaker after it sold 19.1 billion yuan in stock for its parent company.

Detailed earnings will be made public on August 21st per Chinese law that requires official earnings releases if profit is likely to rise or fall by more than 50 percent.shanghai%2Cautomotive.jpg

Meanwhile…GM, FORD and DaimlerChrysler continue to restructure.

Why can car companies everywhere make money…well, mostly anyway…but American car companies cannot?

 

IIST – ISAT 2011 Notification – November 8 last date for applying for ISAT 2011

IIST (Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology) admission test ISAT 2011 date has been announced. The exam is scheduled on Saturday, April 16, 2010 and will be held at 23 centres.

The students interested in getting in one of the most prestigious colleges of India, IIST should apply immediately lest the opportunity will be lost.

The candidates can apply for the Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) in Aerospace Engineering, Avionics and Physical Sciences for the year 2011-12.

The applicants should be Indian nationals. The last day of applying for the ISAT 2011 is November 8, 2011. Admission to the above mentioned courses will be strictly based on the performance in the ISAT 2011.

The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology was founded by the Department of Space that offers courses related to Space Science and Technology for Under Graduation to Post Doctoral.
The IIST is located at Valiamala in Thiruvananthapuram.

The results of  the Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) and Kolhapur Muncipal corporation  election 2010 is going to be announced on Monday, 1st November 2010 at 2.00 pm.

The Voting was held on October 31. KDMC election counting is arranged at the Dombivli sports complex with high security.

Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray and MNS Chief raj Thackeray's prestige at stake in the KDMC Election 2010.

KDMC election 2010 result – Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation election results to be out soon

KDMC or Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation is going to announce its election results today, Monday, November 1, 2010, at around 02:00 pm. The results will be announced at the Dombivli Sports Complex.

High Security arrangements have been done at the venue to avoid any kind of violent situations that might take place after the results are out. The scenario during the campaigning of the KDMC is responsible for these arrangements.

The Thackeray's who are fighting against each other in the KDMC have exchanged loads of displeasantaries amongst themselves during the campaigning of this election.

The Election Commission even has put Raj Thackeray under scanner for violating model code of conduct.

So the rival party's loss is more important than winning in these elections. The elections were held yesterday, Sunday, October 31, 2010.
