Get Married Now! Wife Shortage Expected in 2020s Posted: 02 Nov 2010 07:46 AM PDT China has 37 million more men than women…those younger than 15, 18 million more boys than girls. A Chinese full lunar cycle from now and those boys will be the marrying age. Problem is, they will have a whole lot fewer girls to pick from. It is worse in some regions. The national average is 100:118.8 (Boys to girls). In Guangdong and Hainan is it is as high as 100:138. That's good news for the girls….they get to be real picky, eh? In China's agrarian countryside, there is a far greater need for boys than girls in the fields. However, if steps are not taken there will be far fewer 'baby making machines' to produce the boys needed out on the farm. What do you recommend China do to rectify this disparity?

Reactions from around the world to Herschelle Gibbs’ autobiography Posted: 02 Nov 2010 05:24 AM PDT Herschelle Gibbs’ autobiography has created a lot of stir in the media and amongst his South African teammates and coaches. Here is what everyone has to say: Graeme Smith: He is disappointed that despite the team and Cricket South Africa being there for him throughout, Gibbs thought that he was not a part of the group. He also said that as senior members of the side, there was no doubt that there three or four in the team who had to guide the team. Micky Arthur: Former coach Arthur minced no words. He said that Gibbs had no idea of what man management was and hence shouldn’t comment on the issue. Jacques Kallis: Upset over the comments and is said to have said that he will support Cricket South Africa in any action they take against Gibbs. Mark Boucher: Did not find too much wrong and has decided to move on from the issue. |
