Posted: 17 Feb 2011 11:49 PM PST The first game of the World Cup will be played between India and Bangladesh at the Mirpur Stadium in Dhaka. The Day/night ODI will begin at 2:30 pm India time. The match will be played on February 19 and will be a Group B encounter. India had played Bangladesh in the 2007 edition of the World Cup and lost the game. There have been talks of revenge on their mind and one can be assured that after the Indians got knocked out in the first round itself, things would have got heated up. Watch STAR Cricket live streaming. India will depend on their batting because of the manner in which their bowling has operated. The batting has also done well in recent times at home and that was on display in the New Zealand series, which makes things interesting. Bangladesh lost to Pakistan in the second warm-up but will look to make a comeback against a side which gets vulnerable sometimes. Watch the slide-show of the World Cup 2011 opening ceremony. |
