Kannada Sahitya Sammelana 77th conference to be held at Bengaluru Posted: 04 Feb 2011 01:13 AM PST The Indian cosmopolitan city of Bengaluru in the state of Karnataka, India, will host the Akhila Bharata Kannada Sahitya Sammelana, a literary fest on 4th February 2011. This is the fourth time the city is hosting the literary fest. The Kannada Sahitya Parishad promotes the language of Kannada and it’s culture by means of publishing books, conducting research programs and organizing seminars with poets and writers. According to K Y Narayanaswamy, a Kannada professor in the Government Science College, the Kannada Sahitya Parishat has been successful in keeping alive the spirit of Kannada in the state. On the occasion of the 77th Kannada Sahitya Sammelana, the Bangaloreans will be given a free ride in the BMTC buses in the city. Participants of the conference have huge expectations from the event and a huge crowd is also expected. Participants, who get them registered under the committee, will be allowed free transport to and from the venue. However, they have to produce the badge issued after the registration. |

The cost of the mass marriage is said to be around 7 Crore Indian rupees, which was borne by Ravi Rana. Maharastra CM Chavan along with other Ministers from the state Narayan Rane, Ramkrishna Patil, Yoga Guru Ramdev Baba attended the mammoth ceremony which was witnessed by lakhs of people.
