Kanishtha Dhankar crowned Femina Miss India World 2011

The title of Pantaloon's Femina Miss India World 2011 was grabbed by Kanishtha Dhankar on Thursday at an event in Mumbai. The other contestants who had given a tough fight to the beauty were Hasleen Kaur, who claimed the Miss India Earth 2011 title and Ankita Shorey, who won the Miss India International 2011 title.

Kanishtha will now be representing India at the Miss World  pageant, which will be held later this year. The pageant was fairly judged by actors Dino Morea, Fardeen Khan, choreographer Shiamak Dawar, tennis star Leander Paes, Tarun Mansukhan, Ritu Kumar, Urmila Matondkar, Kangana Ranaut and Sajid Nadiadwala.

The event was also graced by some scintillating performances by Mallaika Arora Khan, Hard Kaur, Anushka Sharma, Sonakshi Sinha, Gaurav Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput, Harshad Chopra, Gaurav Chopra and music band SQS.

Film maker Sajid Nadiadwala at the event had announced that Ankita Mohapatra, will be starring in his next Bollywood venture. The previous year's winner Ushoshi Sengupta was selected by the production company of Susmita Sen Tantra Entertainment to represent the country at the International pageant.
