Movie Review Chatur Singh Two Star

There was Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag, and there was Tashan…And now, giving stiff competition to these movies is Sanjay Dutt's Chatur Singh Two Star. I have to admit, it was a tough task to keep myself from dozing off while watching this movie!

Chatur Singh Two Star is based on the novel 'Chalaak Jasoos' and essays the story of a cop (Sanjay Dutt) who is infamous for his silly acts! But, he lives in his own fantasy world and feels that he is the smartest creature alive. Of course, others think the opposite! Nonetheless, he is able to solve a crucial murder mystery!

Amisha Patel, who is charged for murdering Gulshan Grover (a corrupt politician), flees to South Africa, where she is followed by Sanjay Dutt, the bumbling cop. The truth, however, is that Amisha is innocent…But wait a sec, do we even care?

Akshay Kumar is back as the producer of Indo-Canadian film Speedy Singh, earlier titled Breakaway, and the star is leaving no stone unturned to promote it. He recently shot for a special song Shera Di Kaum with A-lister American Grammy-award-winning rapper and actor Ludacris, and the smashing Punjabi trio RDB.

The song has recently gone on air. It has been composed by RDB, and Ludacris has worked on the rap bit. Akshay features in the song along with Ludacris and RDB. Earlier, Akshay was not supposed to be a part of his home production Speedy Singh but then he changed his mind. It's heard that Akshay had great time working with Ludacris and they have been in touch since then. The song will be shown during the end credits.

And, why the song has a hit written all over it? After seeing Akshay in the song Shera Di Kaum, we are reminded of his Singh Is Kingg days. Moreover, the song is best for disc goers, a well-composed party number.

'Speedy Singh' is directed by Robert Lieberman and stars Vinay Virmani, Russell Peters, Rob Lowe, Camilla Belle, Sakina Jaffrey, Anupam Kher and a cameo by Drake. It is a cross-cultural comedy-drama set in the Indo-Canadian community of suburban Toronto, Canada. The movie is said to be inspired by the life of an ice-hockey player and is the story of an underdog.
