Nissan launches its sedan Sunny in India Posted: 03 Aug 2011 04:39 AM PDT After the success of the hatchback Micra, auto manufacturer, Nissan has launched its sedan, Sunny in the Indian market. The new sedan from Nissan has a fresh design to cater the sedan segment in the country. The sedan segment in the country is growing day by day with the rise in the demand. The initial days of Nissan were not so good in the country after it had launched the hatchback Micra. After the launch of the hatchback, the car had picked up the market slowly and is considered one of the most successful hatchbacks in the Indian market. Now after looking at the success of the hatchback in the Indian market, Nissan has come up with its mid-sized sedan Sunny. The company has said that the Sunny has been built on the V platform. This is the 10th generation of the Sunny by the company, which has been specially designed for the markets worldwide. The petrol version of the sedan will be manufactured at the Renault Nissan alliance Orgadam factory which is based in Chennai in the state of Tamil Nadu. |
Mukesh Ambani house roped under land issue Posted: 03 Aug 2011 02:21 AM PDT Indian businessman Mukesh Ambani, who is known as the world's ninth wealthiest man might lose his most expensive family house in Mumbai. Ambani had moved to Antilia, which is a 27 storey house and is also said that be the world's most expensive family home. Claims have been made in Ambani that the land on which Antilia is built has been acquired illegally. According to Mohamed Arif Naseem Khan, who is the local minority affairs minister, has told the state assembly that the plot actually belongs to a children's charity, which had un an orphanage on the site. Khan has claimed that the land was earlier owned by Waqf Board, who had given the land to the charity to use it as an orphanage for the Muslim children. But the trust which is known as the Currimbhoy Ebrahim Khoja Orphanage Trust had sold it to Ambani for £3 million. Though the deal was approved by the trust the Waqf Board had not given its nod. And since then the Board has started a court action in order to recover the land. There are also possibilities that the involvement of the CBI might be required for the investigation in to the mater. |
Tata’s sedan SUV Aria launched Posted: 02 Aug 2011 10:41 PM PDT Indian auto giant Tata Motors has recently unleashed the most awaited Aria 4×2 in the Indian market. Talking about the segment, the company has claimed that the Aria is a mixture of a sedan and an SUV. The company in a statement has said that the new Aria 4×2 will be having the finesse and handling of a sedan and will also have performance and stance of an SUV. The Aria 4×2 has a roaring 2,2 litre Direct Injection Common Rail engine that delivers a power of 140 PS and 320 Nm torque. The sedan SUV features include disk brakes on all four wheels, dual air bags and anti-braking system with electronic breakforce distribution. Those, who would like to own the new Aria will have a choice of six colors, pearl white, sardina red, night shade black, quartz black, castle grey and arctic silver. The new Tata Aria has music controls and mounted phone on the steering, automatic climate control. The sedan SUV will be available in three variants, Aria Prestige, which is the top model, Aria Pleasure and Aria Pure. The price of the new Aria will start from Rs. 11. 61 lakhs. |
