IPL Auction 2012 : Who Bought Whom in IPL 5 Posted: 04 Feb 2012 05:27 AM PST The Indian Premier League just faced the IPL season 5 auctions of the players. It is the 5th season of million dollar league and so the stage was set on fire. Who went to which team and for how much is the question that is on mind of all. The franchises were actually asked to submit their wish list of the players that they wanted to have after IPL auction. The biggest attraction was Ravindra Jadeja that was bough by CSK. The player was bought for USD 2 million. The young cricketer actually went to CSK after the tie breaker between CSK and Deccan Chargers as CSK bid maximum for this Saurashtra player. Chennai team managed to win over Deccan in tie breaker. Then, Mumbai Indian bought the player Robin Peterson for the amount of USD 100,000. Also, S Sreesanth was bought by Rajasthan Royals at the price of USD 400,000. More so, Sunil Narine was sold to KKR for the price of USD 700,000. James Anderson, the fast bowler from England with the rate tag of USD 300,000 failed to lure any bidders. He was not sold to any team. Muttiah Muralitharan who was bought for 1.1 million the previous year by Kochi was now sold to RCB for USD 220,000. Brendon McCullum served to be the 1st player that was sold in IPL 5 auction. He was purchased for USD 900,000 by KKR. Earlier also, McCullum was in the KKR team. 144 players from 11 nations including 8 Indians were lined up for IPL 2012 auction today. This year, in 2012, the highest price for auction is $ 400,000 and thus belongs to Graeme Swann, the England spinner. Even Former Parkistan Azgar Mahmood was included in auction player list.
