Later, in the year 1981, Pre Engineering Board was constituted. Soon after, in the year 1982 both these Boards were amalgamated and named as Professional Examination Board (P.E.B.). BSNL Strike News: BSNL employees start indefinite nationally strike Posted: 20 Apr 2010 12:12 AM PDT BSNL Strike News: BSNL employees start indefinite nationally strike Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited – BSNL employees started indefinite nation-wide strike to protesting against Sam Pitroda committee’s proposals on voluntary retirement and divestment proposals on Tuesday, Apr 20 2010 The convenor of the Joint Action Committee of BSNL Associations and Unions VAN Namboodiri told that the BSNL employees strike began at 6 am at all centres exclude Delhi, where it started at 10 am. He also told that this bsnl strike could affect calls to and from BSNL networks, BSNL chairman and managing director Kuldeep Goyal said that there are 10,000 senior employees staff, and senior ITS cadre employees who are joined this bsnl strike, and they are working to make sure that the telecom services are not hit by the employees’ strike. The BSNL strike was called for by a joint forum of unions that has both executives and non-executives. The BSNL employees are unhappy with recommendations of the Pitroda committee suggesting voluntary retirement (VRS) to one lakh staff besides the 30 per cent disinvestment to improve financial health of the PSU. Telecom Minister A Raja agreed talks with the union to avoid the strike but he failed in his attempt to carry them to call off the BSNL strike. Hrithik roshan’s doctor has ordered him to ‘no dance, no running and no stress of any kind whatsoever on his knee.’ While the knee was recuperating well, the dance sequence shot for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Guzaarish has taken its toll again on the knee and as a result, he regrettably won’t be able to participate. Hrithik roshan’s agency Carving Dreams confirmed the news saying, “Hrithik roshan was excited to participate and had given his consent. He even went to Singapore 3 days ago to consult his doctor and get his final reports. Unfortunately, his doctor has ruled it out for at least a month to month and a half for now, if it has to recuperate. While he is disappointed at the news; we can’t risk his health in the long run”.
