According to the automated impact model by The Joint Research Center of the European Commission, a sort of tsunami got generated. As per the West Coast and Alaska Tsunami Warning Center, there were no signs of tsunami along the coasts of California, Washington, Alaska, British Columbia and Oregon. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has to say the if there was a tsunami, the Nicobar Islands must have faced a hit around 1:53 a.m. local time (1953 UTC Saturday) followed by other areas. Sigh of relief to Nityananda: granted conditional bail Posted: 12 Jun 2010 12:37 AM PDT Karnataka High Court giving some relief to Nithyananda by granting him conditional bail on Friday. The Godly figure of South India, was held under the charges of rape, criminal intimidation and cheating along with Bhaktananda, one of his close deciples, and two other people. The four people were arrested by the CID officials of Karnataka, from a village near Solan in Himachal Pradesh. Nityananda, who is presently in Ramanagaram jail will walk out as a free man once he produces the bail order before the Ramanagaram magistrate and the jail authorities. B.V. Acharya, Senior counsel and former Advocate-General said the CID has failed to produce any substantial evidence against his client, Nityananda. He added that the saint has been retained in the police custody with charges which lack any type of strength.
