No Veer in Big Boss 4

Posted: 19 Aug 2010 05:57 AM PDT

"Never promise more than you can perform". It seems that TV actor Nandish Sandhu, (more famously known as 'Veer' of the popular soap Uttaran which is aired on Colors) has adopted this saying of Publilius Syrus into his life in a big way since he turned down the offer of participating in Big Boss Season 4 because of lack of time owing to busy shooting schedules.

When asked about the reason for turning down such a lucrative offer, he politely replied by saying that though there isn't any lack of interest on his part to participate in the reality show, it's only the tight schedule of shooting for the serial Uttaran that's forbidding him take up the new offer.

He further said that nature of the show Big Boss is such that it distances a person from the rest of the world for a certain period of time, a thing which he can't afford to do at this moment. At the same time he didn't rule out the possibility of such a thing happening in near future.

Expressing his support to the concept of reality shows he opined that reality shows gives one an opportunity to show to the world the person they are and in the process bring out their hidden talents.

Nandish refused to conform to a norm of the reality shows where participants engage in various kinds of acts to gain sympathy votes. He said that his job is to entertain people and not to play mind games and reiterated that he shall remain what he is irrespective of the situation he is in.

His last comment came on the effect of reality shows on the TRP's of daily soaps about which he said that since people are interested to know what happens behind the scenes, which is what a reality show offers, reality shows does affect the TRP of a serial.

The world Photography Day that is celebrated each year on the 19th of August every year has a very special significance in each one's life. Even if one may not be a professional photographer but the moments captured in a picture stand invaluable, it is the most dominant means of capturing time in this fast paced life.

But the basics of photography is not something new, history has it that from the nomadic times man has tried to record himself, his activities and his environment in the form of pictures marked on the caves or seals. Following this came the era of painting, which reflects into the life and times experienced by people all across world.

The features of a basic camera have been in the human history for many hundreds of years but the invention was made in the 19th century. It has been documented that ever since the 14th century; lens features were known to produce a clearer and more precise picture.

The lens application into making sketched objects was called "camera obscura". In 1847, Joseph Niepce was the first person to take a photograph. Following this, Louis Daguerre, a few years later experimented to secure a stable image. After this a lot more experiments occurred with various chemicals and means to capture a more virtual image.
