Posted: 06 Aug 2010 06:19 PM PDT Poker fans, this is the time you wished you have practiced playing poker in cryptologic rakeback. Bruce buffer is the second time a family of the UFC played in the World Series of Poker. For those who don’t know, Bruce Buffer is the all-time favorite fight announcer. He qualified for the main event, finishing at 478th out of 7,319 participans, earning him $27,519. The buy-in is no joke at all; it is $10,000 and a no-limit Texas holde’m game. Bruce lost his pocket aces when his opponent flopped quad 8s. It was just a bad beat for Bruce but anyone would’ve played a pocket aces anyway. Mike Swick, UFC welterweight was the first one from the UFC family to join a WSOP event, finishing 10th of 2,521, earning him $34,748. Both Mike and Swick are part-time poker pros. It was the first time Bruce cashed in a WSOP tournament, but has also played in the World Poker Tour and LA poker Classic tournaments. Who knows whoelse from the UFC family will join the poker parade? Better get practice using a rakeback calculator already. Maybe the next time you can play in a poker tournament with your favorite UFC celebrities (Just hope it’s not 2 rivals in one table, you might end up in a hospital bed instead). |
