Endhiran Trailer was released in Chennail last night. The release was a grand event. Many famous dignitaries from the Tamil film fraternity were part of the event. Names include Kollywood big shots such as Resul Pokutty, Bhagyaraj, Parthepan, Hari, Rathnavelu, Rama Narayan, Karan, Lawrence, Cheran and many others, who joined the celebrations at the launch event. This film has been the much awaited by fans. There is much to look forward to in this film that releases on September 24. One, it casts Rajnikanth opposite former Miss World Aishwarya Rai. The music of the film is given by world renowned Oscar winner A. R. Rahman. TO add to it, Endhiran is one of the highest budget films that Indian cinema has ever seen. Endhiran's official trailer in the gala event last night gave the film the right start. The big budget film is known to have a Rs. 150 crore budget. It is produced by Sun Pictures. Kalanidhi Maran is the man behind it. Director Shankar and the entire crew and cast of the movie have much to look forward to, as the release date nears. Shankar whose movie 'Jeans' was also in Malaysia, has already released Endhiran's audio in a grand function in Malaysia. The Endhiran trailer is what's making news now. The movie will be a family drama, as also a romantic fun-filled one with the right amount of action. It will cater to both the masses and the class audience. Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, the movie will have stars like Kajal Aggarwal, Jr.NTR, Srihari and Samantha. The movie is a low-budget film. Producer of the movie is Dil Raju. The spending on the movie is Rs. 32 crore, by SS Thaman. Brindavanam audio release will happen today in Hyderabad. The event will take place at Shilpa Kala Vedika in Madhapur. Known faces and glitterati are expected. Nata Simha Balakrishna will be one of the guests. Music of the film has been done by Thama. The launch event can be seen live on television on the news channel TV9. Thus, fans won't have to miss any bit of it. Swarnalatha’s Death – a loss to Indian film music Posted: 12 Sep 2010 07:24 AM PDT Swarnalatha, a well-known South Indian singer, passed away at a private hospital in Chennai today. She was a National award winning playback singer. She died from a prolonged lung infection at the age of only 37 years. Swarnalatha's singing career was marked by her ability to sing in many languages. She was known all over, for her songs in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam as well as Telugu, in addition to Hindi. Born in Palakkad district of Kerala, Swarnalatha had been sining since 1989. She was born to parents with interest in music. Her father K. C. Cherukutty played the harmonium. He, too was a singer. Swarnalatha's songs are popular, especially in South India where she belonged. She was herself trained in harmonium and keyboard. Later, when the family moved to Shimonga, she completed her education there. In 1995, she won the National Film Award for her song 'Porale Pnnuthayi. She was declared the Best Female Playback singer. This song is from the film 'Karuththamma' with music composed by internationally known composer A. R. Rahman. Apart from singing, Swarnalatha was also a dubbing artiste. Though Swarnalatha is dead, her parents are still living and continue to mourn this demise. Even acclaimed others in the industry such as singer and music director M G Sreekumar is shocked at her death and feels that it a great loss for music in Indian cinema.
