The oldest, the biggest, the most, the longest, shortest, tallest….if it ends in …est, China wants to claim it.

Now the Middle Kingdom can claim the largest dinosaur fossils ever discovered.

The fossils were excavated in Liudian township in central China’s Henan Province.

The biggest fossil is 3.3meters (10′) long and 2.3m (Yao Ming wide).

A big fossil was found last year, but this one is bigger than that “Asia’s Heaviest Dinosaur.”

Help Wanted – 6,500 Pilots Needed

Posted: 02 Oct 2010 08:03 AM PDT

China plans to have around 1,250 civil aviation transport planes by 2010.

Problem is, there is nobody to pilot the flying buses.

China wants/needs 6,500 pilots within the next three years.

The alternative is everybody doesn't get a ride OR, worse

yet, unqualified people find themselves behind the controls.

In years to come, China will be able to fill the gap for pilot demand by promoting pilot training funded at personal expense.

When the pilot finds a position, and they will, then they get their money back.

Hmm…I always wanted to be a pilot.

How about you?

22 year old, Danielle Brown, one of the participants of the Commonwealth Games 2010 is a Paralympic Gold Medalist and the surprising part is that she is going to compete with healthy and fit athletes.

She said, “Yes, it is a very exciting challenge. I don’t often compete with able-bodied athletes.”

Brown is also one of the very good looking contenders to be seen in the games that are starting from tomorrow, Sunday, October 3, 2010. The English archer is suffering from 'Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy'. It's a very rare condition where the feet have unending pain that does not allow the sufferer to even stand properly.

Talking about her disease, Brown says, “I got this disease when I was 11 and by 13, it was a full-blown condition. I was quite interested in walking, cycling. The thought of becoming an archer came to me much later. I thought maybe this was something I could do.”

As far as CWG are concerned, she seemed happy to know the facilities provided for the para- athletes by the games authorities. She hopes to win the game.

Shane Watson slams century for Australia v India

Posted: 02 Oct 2010 12:09 AM PDT

Australian opener Shane Watson slammed a century for Australia on the first day of the first Test match at Mohali. Watson’s century ensured that the Aussies got off to a good start in the first Test match.

Simon Katich had been dismissed early in the first innings to Zaheer Khan, but Watson joined hands with the Australian captain Ricky Ponting to get Australia to a very strong position. The Aussies were 154/1 at this stage, and looking good to get to 500.

However, a middle-order collapse followed the batsmen playing rather cautiously and that meant that by the time the play had ended o the first day, the Aussies had scored only 224 runs but lost five wickets.

Fortunately for them, Watson was dropped twice – once on 0 and another time on 37 to allow him to get away. Even Tim Paine was dropped before he had opened his account.

On the second day, Watson was dismissed by Harbhajan Singh, but at lunch, the side went was at a healthy 295/6.

As the nation today celebrates the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi or 'Gandhi Jayanti' the Indians are geared up to wish all their countrymen on the occasion.

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi or 'Bapu', as he was fondly called was born in the year 1869 in the place called Porbandar, Gujarat. He played a very important role in the fight for the freedom of India from the British rule.

Gandhiji followed the path of non-violence or 'ahimsa' to attain freedom. He believed in leading a very simple life and preached others to do the same.

Below given are some SMSs that you can send to your near and dear ones on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti:

"It is the day of celebrations
It is the day to value a special person
Person who is the cause of our nation
Who taught the world the lesson of non-violence
It is Mahatama Gandhi..The Father of Nation!"

"May the spirit of truth and non-violence be with us on this Gandhi Jayanti."
