Item girl Rakhi Sawant says no time for marriage now Posted: 06 Oct 2010 10:42 PM PDT Item girl Rakhi Sawant, who had her "swayamwar" on television but broke off her engagement, says she has no plans to get married soon because she is too busy with work. "I have not thought of getting married anytime soon. I have been doing a lot of shows. And now I am doing my own 'Rakhi Ka Insaaf'. So I am very busy with my work," Rakhi told reporters via video conference here. In her new show on NDTV Imagine starting Oct 16, the 31-year-old will be talking to families in a bid to resolve their problems related to dowry, extramarital affairs, divorce and property disputes. "Whatever cases have come to us, we have thoroughly looked into them and collected evidence before taking them up. I don't know about the law but I would be making judgment with my heart," she said. Rakhi is unfazed although Bollywood action hero Akshay Kumar's comeback show "Master Chef India" will also kickstart on Star Plus Oct 16, luckily at a different time. The item girl insists her show is the best. "Mera show sabhi shows ka baap hai (My show is the best of all)," she said. Rakhi was the star of the reality show "Rakhi Ka Swayamvar", where she selected Canadian businessman Elesh Parujanwala as her life-partner and teamed up with him in another reality show. "Pati, Patni Aur Woh". But post "Pati...", the two parted ways. |
Hollywood Actress Julia Roberts' kids shaved their heads in India Posted: 06 Oct 2010 10:34 PM PDT Hollywood actress Julia Roberts' kids were so impressed with Indian culture that they even shaved off their heads like the priests in the country. Roberts had visited India for shooting her new film "Eat, Pray, Love". She was accompanied by her five-year-old twins, Finn and Hazel, and two-and-a-half-year-old son Henry. "My kids were really into the culture of every place we went. Finn shaved his head. Hazel also wanted to shave her head so I let her shave the back half of her head. They would chant, and they were so interested," said Julia. |
Actress Charlize Theron has a new lover Posted: 06 Oct 2010 10:29 PM PDT Actress Charlize Theron is reportedly dating model-actor Eric Thal. "The two have a lot in common. He's a farmer who grows all his own vegetables, and Charlize grew up on a farm in South Africa. The two like to escape Hollywood and go to his farm in upstate New York," aceshowbiz.com quoted a friend of Thal as saying. Theron and Thal, however, haven't confirmed or denied the speculation, reports aceshowbiz.com. Theron was previously in a relationship with actor-director Stuart Townsend, but they broke off in January this year. |
Actress Helen Mirren thought of breaking her leg to avoid nude scene Posted: 06 Oct 2010 10:24 PM PDT Veteran actress Helen Mirren considered breaking her own leg in a bid to avoid shooting for a fully frontal nude film scene. The Oscar winner was not ready to do a nude scene in Ken Russell's 1972 film "The Savage Messiah" and thought about harming herself to force the director to rethink the scene, reports imdb.com. "The day I had to do that nude scene, where I had to walk completely b**lock naked down a flight of stairs, was awful. It was early days and I was so mortified, embarrassed and unhappy about it," she said. "I remember that morning looking out of my trailer, this funky little caravan thing and wondered if I threw myself off the top step of the trailer I could manage to break my leg and not have to do the scene! I wouldn't like to do that today," she said. Mirren fast became known for stripping off onscreen - but she insists it isn't as easy as it looks. "It's never comfortable. The best thing would be if all the crew took their clothes off too and then you'd feel fine but it's never comfortable to be the only one without clothes on." |
Singer Kelly Osbourne to get rid of tattoos Posted: 06 Oct 2010 10:03 PM PDT After revamping her image with a dramatic weight loss, singer Kelly Osbourne has decided to get some of her trademark tattoos removed. Osbourne made her decision while filming her new movie "Should've Been Romeo", where a few of her body inkings were covered in make-up, reports dailymail.co.uk. "Some still have a special meaning, like the matching ones my brother Jack and I have of each other's names, but I now feel like some were a mistake. They (make-up artists) covered a few of them with make-up last week for a scene in my new film 'Should've Been Romeo' - and I can't say I missed them!" she said. Among the firsts tattoos she considers getting removed include a keyboard on her forearm and a heart and cross-bones on her wrist. "I met with my dermatologist and I'll start the laser treatment as soon as I have time. It will take several months, and while I'm not looking forward to the pain, I've heard it hurts less than getting the tattoo. I hope so!" Osbourne said. According to Osbourne, getting herself inked was a way of "self-harming" for her. "When I was younger, I really thought tattoos were my way of self-harming because I really knew it would upset my mom and dad. I was miserable and I just went and got all these tattoos and I don't know why. One of them is a keyboard and I don't even know how to play a piano," she added. |
