SSC and HSC timetable 2011 Maharashtra declared

The Maharashtra School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination time tables for the year 2011 have been announced. The time tables are usually declared either in December or January by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, but this time they did it pretty early. Maybe they want the students to start working really hard now.

The exams will be conducted in the months of February and March. The HSC exam 2011 will start from February 22 and will end on March 29 and the SSC exam will initiate on March 1 and will conclude on March 25.

One of the Board officials said, “This year, the state board has planned the timetable well in advance to relieve students of stress. The timetable is also designed in a manner that students get a day off prior to all important subjects. It will also help students plan their studies well in advance. The state board started working on it pretty early.”

One of the former official members of the very unpopular CWG scam 2010, TS Darbari wants to play safe and is blaming the former CWG Organizing Committee Chief, Suresh Kalmadi and the former Deputy Director General, Sanjay Mohindroo for the scam regarding the AM Films.

Both, Mohindroo as well as Darbari said that they were merely following orders from the top and that they are not to be involved in this. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested these two officials along with CWG Treasurer, M Jayachandran against the same charges.

Darbari said that he was not an authorized person to take the decisions on the behalf of the organizing committee. All the three arrested, Darbari, Mahendroo and Jayachandran have been remanded by the Delhi court for three days.

The 2010 Commonwealth Games scandals had surfaced right at the time when the event was about to start in the capital city of India, Delhi which took place in the month of October. Since then the high level investigations are going on.

China's own self-designed, self-manufactured bullet train, capable of speeds up to 300 kph, will roll off the production line by the end of this year.

The train will carry 600 passengers and run for 115 km along the Beijing-Tianjin rail route…just ahead of the 2008 Beijing Olympic games.

China's fastest trains go up to 250 kph, on the Beijing-Harbin, Beijing-Shanghai and Beijing-Guangzhou rail routes.

A Eurostar train hit 300 kph on a journey from Paris to London last week.

France's national railways TGV bullet traines are the world's fastest at 320 kph.

China plans for the Shanghai-Hangzhou maglev train to run at 450 kph.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to the Maglev. We will be, uh, we have arrived at our destination."

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has announced the results of its winter examination, held in the month of October, 2010.

The students who have appeared for the October HSE result 2010 can get their result by downloading it from the official website of the Maharashtra Education Board, the link for the same has been provided below.

The students are required to fill their seat/ roll nos. to have access to their results, without which the link will fail to display their results. The website displays the results systematically- as in, gradewise, genderwise and statewise performance.

Winter or October exams are held for those students, who fail to clear their HSSC exams in the first attempt. The Higher Secondary School Certificate examination is very important because after this a student has to take admission in the colleges to make their careers.

The better the students score, the better are their chances of getting admission into good colleges.

Sudha Singh won a gold medal in the women's 3,000m steeplechase. India enter the top 10 in the medal standings.

With a total of five golds, 11 silvers and 17 bronze medals, India have now leapfrogged to the eighth position in the medal standings. Check the Medal Tally

Sudha finished the race in 55.67 seconds while Yuan was left behind by four hundredths of a second. For Singh, the result came as a revival of sorts as she'd managed to finish only fifth at the Commonwealth Games last month.

This was India's third gold medal of the day and second in athletics after Preeja Sreedharan and Kavita Raut had earlier combined to produce a memorable 1-2 finish in the women's 10,000m.

Singh's was however a more dramatic race as she virtually claimed a last-gasp victory to shut out the hopes of Jin Yuan and the thousands of raucous local fans who had filled the Aota Main Stadium, Guangzhou.

There is the South China Sea. It looks like any other sea from the bridge of a anti-submarine frigate or the captain's chair of an aircraft carrier.

Then there is the Sea of Chinese….it happens whenever the weather warms up and the ocean calls … as it does these days in Dalian, China.

I almost moved there once and still wonder why I didn't…but that's another story.

Even the Chinese think there are a lot of Chinese people on days like this…and they all show up at the sea.

So, what'll be for you, the Chinese Sea or the Sea of Chinese?

2009 Newport Marathon | Marathon Race Results

I count just a handful of marathons in the US and a couple overseas. Albeit, a couple are pretty big – Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon in San Diego and Edinburgh Marathon in the U.K.

I have almost started running again. By that I mean, I have been out pounding the pavement, literally, more like ruddling for the past couple of weeks, thinking, maybe just maybe I’ll do this more faithfully again…maybe even try a 24 hour run or a 100 miler again. Quick, somebody reel me back in!

Two BIG marathons have already been run this year – the Boston, London Marathons and City of Los Angeles Marathon (L.A. Marathon) Some 70,000+ folk covered 26.2 miles.

If you didn’t run straight home from the 2009 Newport Marathon you can likely see the results here.

Keep in mind, it takes a while for the results to update. Until they do, you can compare your time to last year’s results.
