Canadian rock star Bryan Adams, who was about to perform in New Delhi, India in a concert, was told to cancel his concert by the Indian Police.

The Concert which was supposed to be held today, was cancelled just a few hours before the concert was about to begin.

The police had feared about the safety of the public at the venue of the concert.

The police had said that the organizers of the concert had sold tickets of the concert which were more than the capacity of the venue.

“The organisers failed to explain as to how they would manage law and order inside the ground and traffic outside,” police officer V. Chahal said. Chahal added that they cannot take any risk in terms of the safety of the public.

Chahal also said that the organizers were unable to explain the security arrangements on the venue.

Bryan Adams, on his tour will also be performing at Nepal and Bangladesh. Adams will also be performing at the opening ceremony of the Cricket World Cup in Dhaka, which will be held on 17th February.

AIPGMEE 2011 results to be announced on 15th February

The All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination Exam for the year 2011, will be declared by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on 15th of February. Candidates who had appeared for the AIPGMEE 2011 examination can refer the official website of AIIMS at

www.aiims.ac.in

Candidates can also refer the exam website of the AIIMS at http://www.aiimsexams.org/. The official website may not be responding at the moment and the results are not yet published at the official website.

However, students are requested to keep trying at both the links to access the results. The AIPGMEE for the year 2011, was held on 9th January 2011, for the admissions in the academic session of 2011-2012.

The prestigious institute of AIIMS conducts the AIPGMEE exam every year for admissions in to the PG courses of MD, MS, PG Diploma, MDS as well as dental colleges across the country. AIIMS is considered the most prestigious medical institute in India and is based in New Delhi.

Srilanka face the West Indies in the Warm-up game of the World Cup 2011 on Tuesday, 16 February 2011 at the Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. The Day/night game will begin at 2:30 pm local.
