Bryan Adams Delhi concert cancelled due to security reasons Posted: 15 Feb 2011 01:27 AM PST Canadian rock star Bryan Adams, who was about to perform in New Delhi, India in a concert, was told to cancel his concert by the Indian Police. The Concert which was supposed to be held today, was cancelled just a few hours before the concert was about to begin. The police had feared about the safety of the public at the venue of the concert. The police had said that the organizers of the concert had sold tickets of the concert which were more than the capacity of the venue. “The organisers failed to explain as to how they would manage law and order inside the ground and traffic outside,” police officer V. Chahal said. Chahal added that they cannot take any risk in terms of the safety of the public. Chahal also said that the organizers were unable to explain the security arrangements on the venue. Bryan Adams, on his tour will also be performing at Nepal and Bangladesh. Adams will also be performing at the opening ceremony of the Cricket World Cup in Dhaka, which will be held on 17th February. |
