The word 'Ugadi' also termed as 'Yugadi', is a South Indian word and festival celebrated by the people of the Deccan region of India. The word has two divisions, 'Yug' and 'Aadi'. 'Yug' means an era and 'Aadi' means the beginning. The festival is thus celebrated as the beginning of a new era.

'Yugadi' is celebrated in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, while the same day is celebrated as 'Gudi Padwa' in the state of Maharashtra. The Sindhis too celebrate the same day as their New Year Day, which they call 'Cheti Chand'.

Manipuris too celebrate the same day as their New Year as 'Sajibu Cheiraoba'. Moreover, the same day is also observed in the state of Punjab as 'Baisakhi'. Different states have their own way of celebration. So here are some sms wishes in various languages.

The festival of 'Navratri' is celebrated by Hindus, when the nine different forms of Goddess Durga is worshipped in nine days. The word 'Navratri' is a Sanskrit word, which means nine nights, 'nav' means nine and 'ratri' means night.

Navratri is mainly celebrated in the state of Gujarat. The traditional dance of 'Garbha' is performed by the devotees in front of the Goddess during the nine day festival. IPL 2011 schedule, teams, players list, live score, streaming

The fourth Edition of the Indian Premiere League (IPL 4) will begin in Chennai from April 8, 2011.  The tournament will  run from April 8 to May 28 2011.

With the addition of Pune Warriors and Kochi Tuskers Kerala, the participant teams have become 10. Click here to see the IPL 4  Schedule

SET MAX TV channel will telecast the matches live in India and other Asian countries. The links to watch the matches live will be provided here shortly.

The ten teams are divided into two groups and each team will play 14 games.  A total of 74 games will be played in IPL4.

Group A : 1) Deccan Chargers 2)  Delhi Daredevils 3)  Kings XI Punjab 4)  Mumbai Indians 5)  Pune Warriors India.

Group B :  1) Kolkata Knight Riders 2) Kochi Tuskers Kerala 3) Royal Challengers Bangalore 4) Rajasthan Royals 5)  Chennai Super Kings.

The first edition of the IPL was won by Rajastan Royals led by Shane Warne. The second edition was won by the Deccan Chargers led by Adam Girlcrist and the 3rd edition was won by the MS Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings.
