Gran Turismo 5 Why the most selling game of PS3

Posted: 03 Jul 2011 01:10 AM PDT

According to facts and Figures the Gran Turismo 5 is the most selling game on PS3, the proves are the reports from wiki and http://www.listal.com/list/bestselling-ps3-games (listal), the game like call of duty and Uncharted 2: Among Thieve, were the best selling game how this Gran Turismo 5 beat all of them even they are more popular game.

while having look on another report, Sales figures for Gran Turismo 5 have finally been released, and as usual Polyphony Digital has hit an ace in the hole. By the end of December, the title has already managed to sell over 6.37 million units worldwide. While numbers in North America were well over one-million, Europeans seem to have eaten the game up with a total nearing four-million. Also, in less than two months Gran Turismo 5 has already managed to move more copies than Gran Turismo 5: Prologue, making GT5 the new driving king of the PS3.

The NATO 5.56 Cartridge The new Technology For Weapon Auto clean

gas piston operated
We have all heard the reports of those rifles failing during combat during Vietnam and even yet today. During the 60's when it was first introduced, it was hailed as "the self-cleaning rifle." Of course that was proven to be a myth within the first months of its service. Soon thereafter, cleaning kits, cleaning manuals with attractive cartoon-like characters, and muzzle covers were issued in large numbers. A lot of the first problems the rifle saw were due to using ball powder vs. stick powder. Ball powder burns hotter, faster and dirtier than stick does. This caused the rifle to gum up quicker in the humid atmosphere of Vietnam and mis-feed the rounds. The U.S. Military then switched back to the cleaner burning stick powder and added a forward assist to jam the bolt carrier forward after heat expansion and carbon build-up. The military saw this problem and fixed it fairly early on, so why haven't they saw the clear flaw in the 100% gas-blowback operation of the firearm? Why haven't they learned lessons from rifles such as the AK-47, AK-74, G36, SCAR and countless other who have switched to a short stroke gas piston?

So far rifles such as the HK 416, HK 417, SCAR and MAGPUL Masada have all incorporated this short stroke gas piston in their designs and have all seen massive reductions in carbon build-up, over-heating, and mis-feeds. If this needs any explaining; what this basically does is stop the hot, carbon-filled gasses just rear of the front sight and pushes a pistol-like rod back instead of the gas traveling all the way back to the bolt carrier assembly. It is even possible to convert current uppers to this gas piston system using such kits as those offered by Bushmaster. If the cost benefit is too great for these kits to be installed, why not begin to install them on the floor as they are now? They are 100% compatible with all lowers used by the M-16 and M-4.

So in conclusion, the main flaws of the M-16/M-4 assault rifle system is not necessarily in the round itself, but in one minor design feature of just the upper. This article is meant as a predecessor to a piece in the making on the advantages to switching to a round such as the 6.8 SPC or 6.5 Grendel. The 5.56 round is effective, but could be better. I want to hear your feedback. Tell me why so many people (mostly civilians) think the flaws of the rifle are in the round. I'm looking to you military folks; tell me about your operational experience with it. Airsoft players, armchair generals, and firearm enthusiasts; let's hear your voice, but don't comment on its "knock-down power" unless you hunt big game with a .223 or were once in the military and have used it in combat. Next up: A viable future replacement for the 5.56 and the M-16/M-4 combat rifles along with first-hand news from the front on forces already making the switch.

Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon Trailer, Game Features and Screen Shots

Posted: 03 Jul 2011 12:09 AM PDT

Today we have a brief trailer for the upcoming sequel Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon. In the trailer we see the effects of the brand new pesticide gun, namely…it kills bugs. Fast. We're really looking forward to this one and really did enjoy the first in the series (lousy achievements and all.)

Earth Defense Force 2017 has long been an under-appreciated game. Well, more of a cult classic really. Which is to say it could never dream of hitting the numbers that most triple-A titles see, but that didn't keep it from being a hell of a lot of fun. And for bargain-basement prices, no less.

As you can no doubt tell from the screen shots, Insect Armageddon looks more than a little bit prettier than its older sibling. What you can't tell from these static screens is that the animations have also seen a significant improvement. Every mobile object, from the EDF troopers and giant spiders to the massive robots and crumbling buildings, has a conceivable weight to it. While that may not seem like a big deal, those of us who've spent countless hours fighting through Inferno Mode know just how huge it is. Basically, everything in EDF 2017 looked like it was running on a treadmill in space. It's all much more polished in Insect Armageddon.

Weapons are a bit more varied and numerous (300+) wow !. Levels have been balanced with length in mind, so no more hour-long romps through maze-like ant tunnels followed by a minute-long standoff with a few big machines. Achievements don't suck anymore, as not only are there more than just a handful this time around, but they're actually attainable. The controls feel tighter. The vehicle count has been cut down, but what remains should actually be drivable. Nests now have to be destroyed by planting a bomb on them (by holding Y/Triangle), rather than by simply shooting them. The list just goes on and on.

I can imagine the 2017 fans must be gritting their teeth by now as all of the polish and additions could make it seem like Insect Armageddon may have lost that "magic" that made the last release so much fun. Well fret not. I can definitively say that Insect Armageddon is every bit as chaotic, insane and downright fun as everybody's favorite budget title. In fact, it's even better. Inferno Mode is back. It still offers 2-player split screen co-op, but it also includes online 3-player co-op, and a 6-player Survival Mode. Fallen teammates can be revived a few times before it's Game Over. And while it wasn't definitively confirmed, we were told there's the possibility of DLC in the future.

Some of the Best Screen Shots !
