Indian telecom company Beetel Teletech on 18th August launched its first pocket friendly tablet. The new tablet that has been named as 'Beetel Magiq' is not only pocket friendly, in terms of size but also in terms of cost.

In the Indian market the tablet will be available for Rs.9,999. Beetel, which belongs to the Bharti Enterprising group company has aimed in providing products, which are more affordable for the consumers.
The new Magiq is an Android 2.2 tab and has got all the high end features, applications that are enough to attract the Indian customers. The tablet has also been designed to attract the youngsters.

Vinod Sawhny, the ED & CEO of the Beetel Teletech has said that they are following their policy of offering luxury to the masses at low costs. Sawhny added that the new tab has all the features of the iPad and is still affordable.

While talking about the features of the tablet, it has a 7.0 inch WVGA screen, 2 mega pixel front as well as rear camera. It has got 8 GB of internal memory that can be extended up to 32 GB. The Magiq is supported by a 1GHz processor for a better user experience as well as multimedia users.

Anna Hazare allowed to use Ramlila Maidan conditionally till 2nd September

After the dramatic arrest of the India Against Corruption activist Anna Hazare, permission has been granted to the activist as his associates to conduct fast. Hazare has been allowed to conduct fast along with his associates at the Ramlila Maidan in Delhi till 2nd September 2011.

The announcement of the permission was made by the Home Secretary RK Singh on 18th August, who also said that the permission was conditional. Singh said that the government is not involved in any of the talks and that the Delhi Police has been involved in the discussion who have amicably solved the issue.

The Delhi Police and the team of Anna Hazare had discussed the issue together and had come to a conclusion that they would be given permission to hold fast at the Ramlila Maidan on certain conditions. Singh also added that it wasn't a victory of either side, but it is just that tey have come to a conclusion that has been made on some conditions.

Regarding the conditions, it was said that only a certain amount of crowd would be allowed including the parking availability.

Maruti Suzuki launches new Swift starting at Rs. 4.22 lakh

Indian auto giant Maruti Suzuki has launched its much awaited new Swift in the hatchback segment. The company had stopped the production of the earlier version of the Swift last year and had concentrated on the new version.

The basic petrol version of the new Swift is Rs.13,000 costlier than the earlier one, while the basic diesel version is Rs. 18,000 costlier than the earlier model. Being the most popular hatchback among the Indian customers, there are high expectations with the new Swift.

So Maruti Suzuki has made sure not to disappoint the Swift lovers and has brought changes in the interiors as well as the exteriors along with an improved engine, which promises more fuel efficiency. The base petrol version of the new Swift will now be available at Rs. 4.22 lakh.

While the base diesel variant will cost at Rs. 5.17 lakh. The engines will have the same capacity of 1,200 cc for petrol and 1,300cc for diesel. Maruti Suzuki had acted smart while pricing the new Swift, looking at the increase in the competition, overall slowdown in sales and rise in the interest rates.

India will play England in the fourth and final cricket test at The Oval on August 19, 2011. The match will begin at 3:30 p.m. India time. See live score.

India has lost the four test series by 3-0 and also the No1 ICC Test spot to England and will now have to play for pride.

This match is a dead rubber as India has already lost the series,  but England would not like to Experiment and aim for a 4-0 whitewash.

England pacer James Anderson appears to be winning his battle for fitness ahead of the 4th and final Test  after taking a significant part in Wednesday’s practice session.

If Anderson is not passed fit, England will have to choose between Onions and Steven Finn, after Chris Tremlett was once again ruled out by the back injury he sustained prior to the second Test at Trent Bridge.
